I thought it was the other way around, but I agree that they were a good pair.
I’m happy for Killjoys, but dammit, I loved Dark Matter! I know both shows are “Hot Canadian actors running around with guns in disguised warehouses” but there was no real reason to cancel one of them.
You are not wrong, there is always a chance a genre show on a cable network will end unfinished, but I try to enjoy the ride without worrying about the destination.
Had not heard that, too bad. I always thought Killjoys and Dark Matter were a good pair. Both were popcorn, but Killjoys was a little lighter and fun-oriented while Dark Matter told a little bit better stories
Yeah, Dark Matter going just sucks, and at a really shitty juncture too.
I’m really bummed about Dark Matter being done even if it became fun characters in search of a decent plot towards the end but I’m excited to see Killjoys back and get a firm end date. I’ve loved the Killjoys/Dark Matter/now also Wynonna Earp block that Syfy had made and it’s been a large part of their revitalization…

Two years later and I still can’t believe he’s gone. The fact that the author who basically singlehandedly shaped my way of thinking as a teenager and, partially, as a grown-up was still alive and active somehow was incredibly comforting. His death left some part of me hollow.
