It’s also worth pointing out that computers are significantly worse at identifying humans as humans when they have dark skin and all the pedestrian bots are white. I’d hate to see the results if some of the bots had darker skin painted on.

Good point. It was the BMW engine and running gear that made this economically feasible but the other way around would have been far preferable.
It’s just priced out of its depth. It’s supposed to be a stylish “lifestyle” sports car with the 4 cylinder yet you could get two lightly used V6 Mustangs for the price of one. The Supra badge can’t shake the Toyota anti brand prestige even with nostalgia plus it doesn’t fit evenly into a hotly contested segment…
It is highly dependent on the specific car and clientele too. You don’t see long wait lists for manual Challengers. No one is really that upset about not getting three pedals in their Hellcat Charger. An M car’s owner is a whole different demographic.
That’s not cheaping out, that’s just smart business strategy.
Over here, there’s been less rush hour traffic from WFH people but people are still out and about all the time. You can see the state of it more clearly in my Kinja posts on Oppo but things are surprisingly close to normal. Many more homeless people than usual and less commuters but leisure has NOT taken much of a…
Well assuming the Suprela got a regular old Lexus V6 to keep costs down, now it’s a an impractical lighter and better handling Lexus. Plus I don’t see a manual transmission that they wouldn’t have to develop specifically for the application. Even if they used an in house BY it would end up slushbox only.
I live in Atlanta and things have, for better or worse (probably worse), been business as usual for a while now. There’s a lot of people trying to impress a lot of other people with their money in this city and the Supra is not in that equation. I've seen many more Z4s than Supras on the road.
Sales don't seem to hear that out. There's a reason so many cars only offer the best engine with an automatic.
It is indeed stuck in a weird in between price block for luxury, sportiness, and true grand tourers from more prestigious brands.
The fact that I’ve seen one on the road from when it first came out and not one actually being driven since says it all. All the style, none of the substance of the original.
I’ve been chewing it over and decided this blip is unfit for human consumption.
Even if it was a blimp, you literally just described a UFO.
I know lots of cars inclueing 2010s had low mounted side marker lights that always looked like pretend foglights at night.
I was more impressed by the fact that the train stopped at all than the fact that the roof managed to flip cars inside the train. I was shocked it was actually slowing down. Might have just been a coincidence or maybe it got called in.
It’s the only Kinja interface that runs as smoothly as craigslist.
I hope the comments section hasn't been infiltrated by the herbs *glances furtively*
The sitemap still exists but don’t tell anyone.
No ads on the sitemap. It’s just the content though you lose the thumbnail. Everyone always forgets this feature exists but I like it if I get behind a little.
