Yeah how the author could hone in on that sorry lump as his favorite is... worrying.

Gotta give credit to the comment section: you folks discovered two errors I’ve now corrected:

Why is it hilarious? It looks good. Plenty of people want an ever so slightly beefier looking Maverick, and this does that without having to delve into aftermarket suspension and all that. $3k doesn’t sound like an unreasonable amount of money for a small lift (1"), a transmission cooler, the fancy rear diff (I’m not

“Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” Words of enduring wisdom, but especially at a moment in history when both new and used cars are brutally overpriced if you can find what you want at all.

The reason people ditch cars that have life left in them, is that it’s easier to make a $500/mo. car payment, for a car that probably has a warranty and likely less to go wrong mechanically, than come up with that $3,500 and be down a vehicle for the duration of the repair.

Well—normal person wouldn’t want to touch ECUs on their regular ICE cars anyway.

Everything but the drive train is same on an EV, and while the drive train is significantly different it is also much simpler. Maintaining evs tends to be a lot easier. Yes when batteries start going bad that is a more complex repair, but people are already doing it. I would argue it is no more complex than having an

I stopped reading after and got into a good collage.”   :)

It went to collage? Are you saying it went to art school?

I have an 09 Tacoma…One of the lines to the window washers split last year. I fixed it with tape.

I literally bought a brand new Ford a little over a month ago, and I must admit, I love the truck to death. Ford, in my opinion, did pretty well with the 5th Gen Ranger.

And this is only for the stuff they actually admit to/are being forced to remedy. What about Ford PTU’s that burn up left right and center?

With that study of tire pollution saying that tires produce more particulates than car exhausts, it’s a very good thing that EVs are so lightweight.

I drive a 2007 V70R. I’d kill for a 37.1 foot turning circle.

Right?! I rented a 20' Penske truck but they were out so I got a 26' truck with air brakes. Also was towing a car trailer and going 1,000 miles. It was my first time ever driving a vehicle with air brakes and also the biggest thing I’ve driven. Crazy how I was able to legally do it.

After I rented a 18' Uhaul with a tow dolly, put my small sedan on the dolly, and then drove >1000 miles I realized that literally any idiot could be driving a rental truck. Stay far, far away.

It’s not entirely clear if they were even losing money. Opel did a lot of engineering and some manufacturing that went to other markets, and it has been reported that Opel’s losses were mostly from those things not being assigned properly, and the speed at which Opel became profitable under Stellantis does support

The H2's empty weight was below the 3500kg limit, so the could have been registered as cars, but then the registation papers would have said 3500kg GVWR. This would have given the H2 the same payload as an Opel Corsa.
