In my experience the gender split has been pretty even.
You have a good point. The top trim 4 door Wranglers have been filling most of the gap of the Grand Wagoneer; they have an immense presence on the road and are a unique and novel take on a large rugged car that can pull family duty. Only 2 rows but I don’t think that disqualifies it.
For that matter the 4Runner TRD is close. I agree with you there about the Land Cruiser as they’re an expensive and exclusive iconic offroader but I do think it lacks a bit on presence on the road for the layman.
The design is consistently gaudy and that's something. I don't like it, but it's there. And the bottom of the beltline is over the top of my not exactly short car. It has one of the largest square footage of door sheet metal I've seen. It's not the ratio but my goodness the sheer quantity!
Survivor's bias. Only the kids who survived will be sharing this and ones that didn't (and dogs too) aren't able to protest.
The Navigator is really the best successor the Grand Wagoneer I can think of. It's distinct and carries a great presence on the road for the very rich except it hints at some far off plebian origins that aren't actually real.
It is cohesively lumpy and hideous.
The problem with Chrysler then was that their image took a massive hit and their build quality didn’t reflect the aspirations of the cars. The PT Cruiser was what the market wanted but they let it rot on the vine and it became the target of a lot of bad jokes. Their 2000s offerings haven’t aged well but their 90s cars…
Dang aliens, always wrecking my lawn and leaving smoking debris everywhere
The "average" is abstract enough to be anything. The median auto pilot user meanwhile. . .
The average autopilot user. Hmmm. Does that tell me much? The average is a construct. Give me the median autopilot user and I can guarantee regular mistreatment of the system in ways that could cause a similar accident.
Haha yeah the obtrusive ads have given us our fair share of trouble. Even in the ad free sub blogs like https://oppositelock.kinja.com/ we’ve had ad trouble.
I hope it never goes away
If they had about an inch more sidewall, maybe. The arches are just too big. It’s a whole lot better than most of the stuff out there today. It doesn’t have excessively busy surfacing and I like the clean shoulder line. The floating roof is almost there with the two tone but that stopped looking cool when Nissan…
