In Canada they are still very hard to find, especially without a bundle of some kind, so I will add my “I’ll believe it when I see it” to the chorus.

Ugh, that Uncharted movie was so bad. Holland was miscast, Mark Wahlberg was miscast. IIRC the studio burned through a dozen different directors before ultimately settling on the Zombieland guy (probably because he was under contract with the studio) and he was not a good fit for the material. What we got was just

That’s too bad. This universe is cool and still should have more to offer with the support, but it seems like all the drama surrounding its poor release has taken its toll and CDPR wants to just move away from it all and fall into the warm, loving familiarity that is The Witcher series.

I miss “middle” length games, I feel like most AAA games try to be as bloatedly big as possible and a lot of indie games are a good size for a crafted meaningful experience but not enough to sink your teeth into. If I really like a game I can happily put a ton of time into it but I don’t want that to be every game,

We have plenty of those still

Oh ffs 80 hours is too long, too. Can we please get back to 15-20 hour games? I'm so tired of every game needing to be a lifelong affair nowadays.

The lack of exclusives was because they dropped the ball last gen and thought watching tv on your game console was more important than games. They weren’t playing 4d chess by not making games. It was just a bad gamble. When both consoles have the same multi-plats of course exclusives are gonna tilt the scales. Now all

I think it’s a case of Forza Horizon being functionally the only open world racing game on the market. The next competitor is what... Burnout Paradise Remastered? Combined that with gameplay that builds in interesting ways and doesnt change what’s not broken.

That’s not at all true. Show me an actual *gaming* laptop (i.e. discrete gaming GPU) that you can get for anywhere close to $400. Doesn’t exist.

No one needs one, but damn it’s nice if you get one.

You could say the same about the PS4. There are a huge amount of good PS3 games, most people have probably not played even half of them.
There’s never actually a _need_ to buy newer consoles, but Demon’s Souls is for damn sure a good game..

I waited to finish Death Stranding and TLOU2 on my PS5, as well as Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian (without stuttering) GOW in 60fps and several other games that I missed.. but Resident Evil 8 with super short load times, adaptive triggers and sound design was truly an experience worth having on PS5.

Whatever mental gymnastics you need to do to emotionally cope with the PS5 supply issues, go for it. It’s some frustrating bullshit, to be sure.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart looks very good, but it’s part of a series whose heyday was three console generations ago. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade means more Final Fantasy VII Remake—which I am, admittedly, desperate for—but it’s still ultimately DLC for a game I already finished on the PS4.

Same thing here. Had a launch PS4 and the jump to a PS5 is amazing. Just playing my Ps4 games in 4k/60 fps is enought for me.

Yep. Honestly, I would say the only thing that doesn’t make it worth it is the hassle of getting it. I had to stop trying on gamestop, target, ect. because trying to get it from those sites would actively ruin my day. An hour of add to cart/refresh in the middle of the work day. Sony direct was painless though. Took

I 100% agreed with this blog until last week I finally got a PS5 with Sony Direct (the store I tried to buy from after the first two months of adding to cart hell).

On the other hand:

Making a composed, thought out statement or inquiry about the PS5 still having only but so little to provide in the now in contrast to being literally the fastest selling game console of all time seems to be the fast track to getting dogpiled and ratiod.

Imagine how sad one’s life must be to review-bomb some game on Metacritic, esp. over some perceived “SJW”-ness or something.
