She didn't appear last night. What the hell do you want them to do—run a mug shot?

But Biden flat out stole.

If it is state law that is at issue, would he have broken "federal wiretapping law"? I've always heard this described as state-by-state matter.

No, not always true, but always true with certain people.

No, not for everyone. But for the alcoholic, yes.

Just so. Was just trying to clarify that it wasn’t “AA” itself holding itself out as the only way—for the sake of those contemplating going to their first meeting. “Days of Wine and Roses” did some great things in portraying alcoholism, but one problem in it was Jack Klugman's character reaching out to Jack Lemmon and

An actual alcoholic cannot cut back over the long term. To the contrary, he or she will inevitably escalate.

I agree with your overall point, but do wish to note that there is no real "AA" that "stands firmly on the 'we are absolutely right' platform." There are people and organizations that do that, but AA itself has a skeletal central organization that exists to provide support to autonomous groups and doesn't on its own

"Warren has stated these points herself when people asked about running for POTUS, why would they not apply to a understudy position like VP?"

Even saints like Warren are going to put their own ambitions over a rather short-term hypothetical.

People who actually say they want the job don't become vice president.

They modified it, but still.

I think you can blame the switch on the egregious reference to the Cowboys as "America's team."

In hockey, there are such things as "two-way contracts" with much lower pay if you are in the minors than the NHL. Established players almost all have guaranteed major-league money.

Folks have already rushed in with dictionaries that condone sloppy use of the word.

Of course, but dictionaries sometimes list meanings that are a reflection of imprecise or incorrect use of a word. The original meaning of "electrocute" is one worth preserving.

Dictionaries, especially online dictionaries, often condone sloppy or questionable definitions, but unquestionably the original and precise definition of electrocution involves death.

Well, human behavior isn't going to change, so instead of blaming passengers, TSA should adjust to reality. Plus, the recent huge spike in lines in Chicago (and then, after outcry, miraculous shortening), shows that TSA self-sabotage and general incompetence has a lot to do with the problems.

I recently had PreCheck on my boarding pass, printed from a kiosk, and I am not signed up. I have been put into the fast line by TSA folks, but never had it on my boarding pass.

Had Kessel scored last night, he might have gotten it. The Sid haters don't notice all the past and present premier players who say he is the best in the game.
