A local driving club does a track day in the summer during the Italian festival and a number of Ferraris come out, but apparently last year it rained and only 4 or 5 showed up. I’m sure it’s more about protecting the investment but it’s funny to think of them not wanting the cars to get wet.

This would look great alongside my LEGO Unimog

In Canada one of the largest schools (Young Drivers) stopped offering to teach manual due to lack of interest. I hope they keep some cars around and offer single lessons.

Mentioned further in the comments is that the wheels are 19” diameter and likely at least 10” wide (305/315 section tires) so the comparison is a little more valid. I still think 33 lbs is pretty ridiculous but I’m sure it’s possible.

Good man, Steve, but I think at this point I would even settle for gauges you can display on the dash screen temporarily. I don’t need to see oil temp all the time, but it would be nice to show it while it’s warming up.

I expect a royalty cheque any day now

Does CarMax have a mobile mechanic that can follow you around just in case?

It’s a valid point, as there are more effective ways to gain power, but the principle is reasonably sound, if not a little “overpromise and underdeliver”. I’d say there’s probably an even split between people who realize that it’ll do more for sound than power and people who aggressively tell you that it adds 50 hp.

1st: Despite my love of rugged utility vehicles from other manufacturers, the TPP has way more bad stuff in it overall, so I hope it doesn’t pass (in Canada or the US). Realistically, though, it’s far more likely that they’ll pass...

They were interesting films, but I wish they provided some of the review segments as well. Surely Jeremy already recorded some interesting cars for the last 2 episodes?

Name checks out.

Did any guys rock manual transmissions? HOw does that change the approach? (I’m looking at you, left foot braking)

Nice write up, on a drive I hope to do on my North American road trip sometime in the future.

Great article. I suspected that the news segment was hashed out mainly in bullet points, but the way it was delivered shows both the quality of the writing and the abilities of the 3 presenters. Hopefully the next generation of Clarkson/Hammond/May is more like a full hour of those 30 minute films (travelling, cheap

As the saying goes: the sales department makes the first sale, the service department makes the second.

That thing looks like it belongs in a Pixar movie.

That’s an interesting thought. They’ve never done a 4 driver comparison, I guess because the Stig is terrible at expressing his thoughts on camera.

I see a face as angry as the ND Miata

The concept of an ice-filled bumper in the Canadian winter is hilarious, and seriously dangerous.

I just mean 4 cars for 3 presenters, but I suppose they can race to decide who gets to drive the extra one.
