I'm still amazed at the 355 hp figure from a 2L I4. To quote J Clarkson, "how big must the turbo be on that thing? What kind of small animals does it suck up?"

Ah, thanks, I missed that. I think the question remains though...

Forgive my ignorance of American politics, but what do federal politicians do during the 6 months they're not in session?

I yearn to one day own a LR Defender or Land Cruiser. Having something infinitely practical, near bulletproof and allows me to do my own maintenance would be sweet.

Top marks to GoPro for staying on the whole time. Failing grade to Mr. Asshat for becoming another statistic.

I've always wondered about that design choice, and how early in the process that choice was made. Surely rear end safety was discussed at some point.

I think it's because the TIV there is meant to actually get hit by the tornado to record data from inside, but most other chasers just want to get data points from nearby.

It seems a common theme is that the vehicles are stationary, so it's possible that the engine heat overwhelmed the reduced cooling capacity. I'd be curious to know how enthusiastic the different drivers were just before their cars "pulled a Ferrari".

I wonder if it was too much rotation? Possible the driver was in too high a gear and the dyno bearing had enough.

As James May and the Stig demonstrated with the last Panda review, just wait until you stick some people in there. Up to 6 seats with 120lbs? (conservative) Yikes.

Does the replacement require the complete set or just a single tool? Would be annoying to have to bring the whole thing back if you've just broken a single socket.

2nd: Hopefully VW is reading, so let me say this:

Three-wheeled drifts rarely end well.

This makes me very excited. The lease on my Golf means I'll in the market a few months after the GTI reaches Canada, so pricing and full reviews will be available. The question I have, though, is if the GTD will be as good, and whether it will come to Canada too, because that makes a compelling package.

I spent most of the evening reading all 57 pages... worth it! hahaha

He posted the original thread at 9:04 AM and edited it at 9:15 AM, but the Google cache contains some text (the current thread just says TROLL).

Has Toyota replaced Peugot as the top contender in the Audi vs everyone endurance battle or is Peugot still relevant? Three-way dogfight for the top spot would be fantastic.

1st + 2nd: Would other mainstream automakers be interested in purchasing Fisker to build on their R&D work and perhaps rebrand the Karma?

What I'm so amazed at is just how clean the entire operation is. Our FSAE shop was a mix of oil rags, sockets and welding equipment... I guess that's what an order of magnitude budget difference makes.
