All great ideas, but the main issue I see is that the current revision is limited to info in the top corner of your vision. Not to say the future won't include full-glass displays, but having a very small area to have data certainly limits things.

Anyone have a better image that perhaps overlays how the connection was made? It's tough to see batteries in the left photo.
Mad wheel travel, yo.
Absolutely, and confirmed by the fact that VW loses $1+ million on each one.
You're right about testing and the pointlessness of this all, but I hardly believe the Veyron is an "overengineered piece of crap".
This post is hilarious and reads like it's from a Futurama episode.
Great news! Amazing work by the community.
Anyone find a good video of the new sound? This is one of the few available, but it's possible it's actually from late 1980s.
Well yes, I suppose if you focus on the glass itself it can become a distraction, but the idea is that by having it in the corner, it's far enough in your peripheral vision that your main focus is still on the road. I think it's still an improvement.
I had hoped that OBD2 data might be available, and NFC would be a pretty good solution. Make it happen, Google!
Driving is actually one of the main activities I would use Google Glass for, as long as the interface is designed intelligently with driving in mind. If Glass can determine when I'm driving and do things like limit notifications, display speed and directions, that would eliminate a lot of distractions.
Getting 360 HP from a 2L 4 is pretty remarkable. The turbo must be EVO sized, so you have to look out for low flying birds getting sucked in.
Would love to drive a Defender for my who-needs-roads Daily Driver. Forget the snow, too!
WRX wagon is the only car I'd choose for a challenge like that. Mostly because Audi Allroads probably wouldn't fit into the ~$1500 bracket
Thanks for that, it was an interesting read.
I've always thought being a news helicopter pilot would be a fun job. Sure, 90% of the time is probably spent on showing firemen getting little Sprinkles down from the tree, but the rest of time, you'd see some pretty crazy stuff.
The only time I ever listen to the radio is when I'm in my car. I doubt this will happen that fast for the simple reason of AM/FM's emergency broadcast capabilities.
This could seriously be my dad's next car. He drove a 2006 325i, now a 2009 328i, and does 1000km / week commuting. He likes Diesels, but loves the BMW comfort, so this would be the best.
ENHANCE.
