In Canada once you're over 70 you have to have a written test every 5 years, but I really believe that should be a driving test instead. This is easily demonstrated by my grandfather, who easily has the rules saved in his head, but probably won't physically be able to react to a dangerous event in front of him.

I'll see your Ram Runner and raise you one Raptor.

I talked my parents into buying me the then-$300 Mindstorms robot kit when I was about 15 by saying that would help me find out what I wanted to do at university/career. And turns out I used it more often during classes in my last year of university than I did in the previous 5-6 years I had it. I guess that paid off!

"You know, keeping up foreign relations."

Not surprising! Probably the same plant that had the Challenger light up a few weeks ago. An engineering classmate of mine was offered a position there to oversee production and quality assurance and basically ignored it because of the shoddy quality of their production line. I guess this is what happens when you do

Buffalo Airways is a Canadian airline in Northwest Territories that runs the last DC-3 passenger service in the world. They fly C-46, DC-3, DC-4 and Electras through the Canadian north on cargo runs. I first heard about them on Ice Pilots NWT, which is shown in Canada on History Channel and just recently, NatGeo in

Has anyone done a study to determine exactly why so many of these crazy people live in Florida?

I too find it a shame that so many people drive cars with no idea as to their full potential. This goes not only for these fully capable off-roaders, but for sports car owners with almost the same horsepower. Not to say everyone should drop the hammer and drive like a lunatic, but at least take it to a track session

So was it "Imported from Detroit"?

That's true, but you must be able to draw a reasonable conclusion if a driver either sends or receives a text in the seconds preceding an accident. The trouble with that, I think, is determining the "exact" time a crash occurred.

I enjoy driving too much to do other things that take away my attention. Clearly this isn't the case for other people.

That's exactly the thought I had when I watched this show. Sure, you've got a trunk full of subs and a roof liner lined with LCDs, but if the car still won't start, what's the point? I only saw one episode where they fixed anything mechanical, and that was just replacing the brake pads.

SCV READY

How many members here are former/current FSAE participants? Though I only managed to get out to 2 Michigan events, it was fantastic to see the creativity and execution of teams from all over the world.

Not at that event, trust me!

If I may quote Billy Bob Thornton in Armageddon:

Obligatory.

The GT is one of those cars I would put in my garage if money was no object (along with a Raptor and M3). I hope that if Ford does move to a new design, they remember what brought them from the past.

The Dacia Logan is now available without an engine!

For the most part you get what you pay for, but I think at some point you exit the value segment and enter the crazy area. I paid $600 for a Trek 4500 about 7 years ago and have been super happy with it. I don't think I could justify spending more than that, though.
