LOL! I Was just in a Target where the family behind refused to stay 6 feet away. After their toddler brushed up against me, I finally turned and asked them to keep 6 feet away. I think I said, “Hey, would you guys mind adhering to the 6 feet thing? Your kid just brushed my leg.” The mother was pissed and told her

That is one stupid hot take. Toddlers walk on sidewalks. Senior citizens walk on sidewalks. A collision with a bike can kill them. In a suburban setting, bikes on sidewalks aren’t so bad. In cities, where sidewalks are crowded, it’s moronic.

Bicycles are permitted, even required, to be on the roads in most urban settings. It is the responsibility of car drivers to share the road with them. Yes, some riders ignore traffic signals but by and large most cyclists don’t die because they ran a stop sign and got hit by a car. Usually they get run over while

Yeah, I don’t get it. It’s obviously on the wall to the right of the photo. Literally, that’s where the fridge is in 90% of the homes in the U.S. with this kitchen layout: the interior wall opposite the rear of the house.

That sign is gold. If not for the swearing I would post that on my front door.

I’m a corporate attorney in NYC. I work with CEOs all the time, and they are almost all assholes, without exception. I’m the last person who would defend CEOs. But Musk, from what I can tell, is at least a CEO whose stock-based pay is not the result of accounting tricks and/or short-term strategies. I mean, I think

They actually are sort of special, in the sense that they sell only their store branded goods, and the quality and prices are almost impossible to beat. Their food is not fungible with other supermarkets’ offerings.

I had to slog through this article only to find that there is no recipe for babka? WTF, man.

You don’t need a majority of the population to catch Covid before the hospitals are overwhelmed. 5% of the population getting it will mean bodies lining the hallways of hospitals, and a much higher death rate because people won’t get needed ventilators. I know someone right now who can’t get a ventilator and was told

I’ll give it one year for them to work out the kinks. Then I’m going to buy one.

There are a lot of not so rich, not so old people buying entry level MBs. They are not the majority, but losing 10% or so of your customer base is never healthy.

I’ve only recently fully ingrained the habit of sneezing into my forearm-elbow.

If the property values reverse, I’ll be selling my suburban home that I just bought 2 years ago and moving back to the city.

30 seconds is plenty of time to melt cheese in a microwave. That’s how I melt some of the harder to melt cheeses that I add to my 3 cheese grilled cheese.

I can feel your anger. I am defenseless. Take your weapon. Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete.

Good! Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the hate flow through you.

If they implemented this, it would essentially eliminate the basic economy ticket. They would just charge the same fare as the current refundable tickets because their costs would rise.

How much do one of these meals cost? How are they making money on this if little old Japanese ladies are punching above their weight?

This is an even dumber take than the “Why can black folks say the N-word” post.

I didn’t get a stimulus check but all of the money I am spending (other than basic living expenses like groceries, mortgage and utilities) is being spent on take-out. I don’t know why you don’t advise people to spend all of their checks on take-out. Supporting local businesses that you want to still be around when
