That thing is so ugly.

It is mind-blowing that in a world where print journalists are losing their jobs right and left, a shitstain publication has $150k lying around to just kill stories.

The reason Ford could sell the Pinto is because the regulatory environment back then was almost nonexistent. Are you suggesting that we go back to that?

I would say that the ability to wrap existing toys without disappointing your kid ends around age 2. My son is just over 2 and nothing gets by him. He’s already tired of all the books that I read to him. Even if I try to read one that we haven’t read in a while. And we’ve bought him over 30 books.

After my son was born, my wife did not want to work anymore, so we agreed that she would be a stay at home mom. At the same time, we also agreed that I would only take two weeks off because my job and career are now the sole source of income, and neither one of us wanted to jeopardize that.

I have driven the Turnpike 1000s of times and I have never seen all lanes drive 65. If someone is driving 65 in the left lane of the truck lanes, they will be tailgated badly. And flashed.

What’s the service? Are they dropping mugs of coffee from drones?

But it’s not the downforce that pops a tire. It’s the lateral force when the tire hits the edge of the pothole after it has sunk into it.

Why is a company that makes coffee considered a tech start-up?

Not according to physics. When a wheel rolls over a pothole, the only things that will save it from popping are all related to the tire: sidewall, air pressure, tread, age. The other two things you mentioned- ground clearance and suspension, only make a difference as to how the car reacts and what the passengers feel.

Ground clearance and suspension travel is not going to save a tire from a pothole that would pop the Camry’s tire. Fatter sidewall, sure, but most crossovers don’t have much more.

Sure, but what difference does it make if you’re in a Rav4 vs. Camry?

Potholes are going to pop the tires of crossovers too.

Huh? I have no problem driving behind SUVs. If you don’t follow too closely, it is never an issue.

The majority of the people in the U.S. don’t live in Montana or other states where driving a crossover makes any difference because of the quality of the roads.

Dude, there are lots of hotels in and around TS. The ones on the east side would be less, and I guarantee that the rate on a Saturday morning will be less than $11. I lived in Manhattan for almost 20 years. I know my way around.

That’s the best way to get around. I lived in Manhattan for almost 20 years and almost exclusively rode the train or walked. I might have taken cabs once a month at most.

Oh, you mean the rush hour Uber rate? When it’s almost impossible to get a yellow taxi? I took one over the summer from TS west to Herald Square and it was $11.

Yeah, no. Tourists staying around Times Square? Probably $10 Uber to the ESB.
