No, no one sells smaller than a 1mg pill.  You’re taking 3mg or 2.5mg when you halve a 5mg pill.  Not 0.3 or 0.5 unless you’re splitting a 1mg pill.

Whether you have notifications on or not, multiple texts that could be done in one text is more annoying than a period. For instance, I get texts like this from my wife.

no it isn’t.

To your point:

A hundred times this. On my work slack, this is pretty much protocol. “Hey, could you approve this thing?” Thumb up. “Can you close out this entry?” Thumb up. “How’s the project going along?” (longwinded paragraph). Original asker responds with thumb up.

Your friends hate you for not responding to texts and emails in a timely fashion.  If you truly get no notifications at all and rely on just checking your phone from time to time.

Go read a book. Jesus.

This is a brutal take.

Wow.  How far into the B-roll of blog ideas are we by now?

Thanks for the laugh. Not sure if this tops thawing my food in my washing machine, but Lifehacker has been killing it lately.

That’s a Fiber Optic Termination Hub. Wayne’s local telco/ISP will soon be advertising ‘fiber to the home’, if they’re not already.

I just started running 5 weeks ago or so. I’m running 1.6 miles at a time without stopping at just under a 15 minute mile. I know it’s not fast and barely more than a walk, but it’s all I can do for now. I’m kind of lost as far as goals go. I want to keep it up to lose weight. I’d like to do a 5k eventually, but do I

Two extra things I’ve been using lately:

Another day in the life of a cat.

I think a big issue is the transparency. We’d like to know how much we’re really paying up front before making that purchase so we know it aligns with what we thought we were going to spend. Most of already have tax, tips, and likely credit card surcharges in mind (most places I’ve been to that do that are good about

I’ve never had a restaurant (or any other business really) explain why they are charging more before - why start now? I much rather be able to look and know what I’m paying instead of being surprised with an arbitrary fee. Either the price is acceptable or it isn’t.

Yes. What if you have a fixed amount of money in your wallet, like most people do. You go in, see the price of the item you want and you know you have just enough money to pay for it. Here comes the check and boom, too much.

I hate add-on fees.  Either put it in the price or don’t charge it.  Don’t deceive me and put it in at the end when I can’t decide one way or another if I want to pay the new price.

It sounds like you use melatonin exactly the way everyone should. (Also, jet lag is a beast!)

I only take it when jet lagged (Asia or Europe). This is in addition to good sleep habits and strategic timing of light exposure and caffeine intake. I’m sure it contributes only about <5% towards my success at getting a good night’s sleep, but when you wake up in Seoul at 3am with nothing to do and can’t fall back
