I had a 96 ford explorer limited that chewed the sidewalls out of tires on a semi-annual basis.

I DD a 2010 HSE with 210,000km (half the mileage here) and to date havent had a problem i couldn’t fix myself. this car is priced a little too high for the mileage and year but the complaints about constant break downs (in my experience) are a tad overblown.
