I'd put it more on the side of sci-fi, but the only part that I recall vividly was the first part with Robert Guillaume as the black politician that had to deal with the government trading black people for alien tech and medicine.

True. Sports writer/personality Bomani Jones gets a ton of mileage out of the ridiculousness of his frontrunner fan-ness and Univ of Ky dick riding.

It reminded me of the way one of my grandfathers used to dance.

I misunderstood then. Faulty math I suppose.

The guy explained why he chose to make her 20-something aboveā€¦

nevermind, you got to Duke's not death elsewhere

I think he'll be pissed for a bit, then remember the whole "made abusive drunk step-dad vanish" thing and live with the trade-off.

That brings me to another issue that came to me after I posted. The casting seems like it might be reliant on viewers knowing Laverne's history.

I think you're right about the actor trying to avoid channeling Curry, which is a shame. I get wanting to differentiate your performance from the iconic one but the changes come off more like shortcomings than anything else.

Yeah. One of the main things this casting seems to miss is the big perceptual difference that people have with a man that dresses as a woman talking about having sex with men and seducing another man as opposed to a woman doing these same things.

Exception noted.

Yeah. It was on BBC America this past weekend.

Never trust anyone pushing 50 with a soul patch.

Kinda agree though I don't love Laverne Cox being cast for this. I couldn't get into the BBC's Rocky Horror Show because I kept thinking about how Curry's performance was so perfect for the role.

Heh. Kinda makes me feel bad that it took this comment to make me realize why that guy sounded familiar.

Luckily for you there are quite a few sites with pictures of that now.

I looked at S3 as the ending of the Nolan saga and thought S4 would be about Irisa and her starting a family/building her own legacy/moving on from being "Nolan's sexy Chewbacca" as Berlin called her.

I think they could have continued by covering the aftermath of the Omec invasion and built on the VC storyline. No need for Nolan to return.

Aw. I expected this but I hoped we would get one more season. At least the S3 ending tied up all the dangling plot threads.

Buffy the movie had its moments. Naturally, none of them included Luke Perry or David Arquette.
