I know plenty of people who don’t think of immigrants as human. They don’t see it and they think they are seriously all criminals.

This is the first point that hits me honestly. I didn’t realize this happened. I haven’t read the book so I’m holding my judgement on it until then. 

Have you ever had to do this? And also make sure that you are able to sign up at the exact time it opens since they sell out, and also try to schedule which different weeks they will go different places. As someone with ADHD it’s a yearly nightmare for me.

I would guess that this is also in part due to the rise in popularity of coming of age graphic novels. My daughter reads them over and over for enjoyment, but the school likes to call them “junk food.” Luckily the librarian is more than supportive and even lets her know when new ones are coming out. 

The cop bashing is out of control. I thought that we’re supposed to judge individuals by who they are. There are plenty of people who are police officers to do good in this world. Would you rather we have no cops? What then? 

I know at least 3 divorced couples who are legitimately friends and hang out as a family with their kids often. Some of them are even remarried. 

There are tons of reasons for teens to have a phone, not the least of which is so that you can let them have some more freedom outside while you are tracking their every move without them knowing it. 

I don’t know if it’s nostalgia, but the sugar cookies from the bakery in the Hershey store in Hershey are one of the few things I ever have random cravings for.

I put my name first on emergency forms because I’m easier to contact and my husband has a job that makes him unreachable much of the time, but I have no problem calling him after I get the initial call to have a discussion about which of us is better able to leave work if needed (if I can get in touch with him) 

My son, who is now 5, slept in his RNP a ton when he was really small. probably for like 4 or 5 weeks. Every now and then my cat gets pissed at me for petting it or moving my foot while I sleep and attacks me in an adorable house cat way. I’m very happy she is not big enough to take off my foot.
