I’m a Bernie supporter, but anyone criticizing Clinton for being a Republican in the 1960s ought to take a look at electoral maps from the 1960s. And anyone who doesn’t understand why Bernie’s message of economic equality has a hard time gaining traction in the black community might want to consider that the last guy

Which is actually pretty impressive, if you think about it.

This again?

Hillary actually organized the protests at Wellesley.

Thanks for sharing this! Just listened to the first half or so in my car (can’t listen to the rest right now because I have a thing, but I’ll try to later.) Nina Turner and Killer Mike were AMAZING. Whichever Democrat wins the primary (Hillary, unfortunately) better pick Nina for VP. I don’t care if she’s only been a

Your comment and this from Bears for President had me thinking:

As a black person I don’t know that I necessarily mind Sanders turn of phrase here. When I want a politician speaking to issues that affect black people, the first thing I’m listening for is whether or not the work they want to do is addressing black people like me - someone who was able to be raised somewhere I could

Don’t even bother. There’s no talking to these fucking people.

At Wellesley, Clinton was president of the Young Republicans.

No thanks, I already found a poorly-phrased statement from a debate that I’m going to use to assume represents his entire worldview and close my ears to anything to the contrary.

I think the issue is that Sanders is telling hard truths. What I get from this is the postmodern concept that perception is more important than reality.

Clinton can, however, because she can fake ANYTHING.

What? Why would anyone be interested in that

The Killer Mike interviews with Sanders at the barber shop are some of the clearest, non-jargony interviews I’ve ever seen a politician do anywhere. It was pretty amazing.

And people wonder why Democrats won’t fucking VOTE. Disillusionment much, politics?

I don’t mind that as much as how it was taken out of context. He was actually addressing the issues that people are using the comment to accuse him of not understanding. Fucking Clinton. I’m going to hate voting for her conniving political ass so much. But hey, she wins, right? And an evil manipulative monster

Here’s a longer, more subtle conversation between Sanders and Cornell West, Nina Turner and Killer Mike about systemic racism in the black community, for anyone interested in Sanders’ thoughts on the issue;

Girl, you are bringing it today!

She is not me and never will be. Neither will she ever get my vote. #Bernie2016

Yeah, people get confused with all the different terms to call black people. But as an Afro-Latina myself I’m well aware of her ethnicity ;-)
