On the track day insurance thing, I wouldn’t say you absolutely should get it. But it’s not a bad idea. It depends on your situation (see my response to @Decay buys too many beaters)

I grew up in Chestnut Hill (other side of the river), and there’s definitely a difference between there and the Main Line (Bryn Mawr, etc.). The Main Line always felt showier, more nice iron.

No way! I grew up in a super WASPy area of Philadelphia. Can confirm. Nothing says old money WASP like a Sable or Taurus wagon. Nice cars are for the nouveau riche with something to hide.

I too wonder if the world would collapse if audi made a RWD vehicle. especially a small sporty one. I also think that as base porsche boxsters inflate to ridiculous prices it MIGHT be time for porsche to shake things up again and offer a more affordable entry sports car. preferably a no frills FR coupe with a tweaked…
