I’m positive his family very much enjoyed all of the time and experiences they got to share with him. Time and experiences afforded by his dangerous lifestyle. Not saying it makes the loss any less crushing, but I don't think his family would view the circumstances as "totally preventable", it was part of who he was

Do remind us all, how did Hunter S. Thompson die?

Having done both the military and risking your life because its fun. They often go hand in hand. Its some of the same mentality

His entire feed the past week or so looks like a really fun family vacation. Out doing outdoorsy things with the whole family and some close friends. Seems more like he was the victim of a freak accident vs a stunt gone wrong. He has been toning things down a bit also, for example passing the Gymkhana torch to Travis

its a slippery slope. you can be cautious and then slip and die in a grocery store. Sometimes its just your time and there isnt much you can do about it.

Spouses, I’ve always felt, take you as you come. They know who you are when they marry you. Kids on the other hand, they don’t have a say and I think as a parent you have an obligation to tone down your life when you have kids because I’m not sure there's much worse than losing a parent at a young age.

Midnight Club 1 was a pretty mediocre game overall tbh, but MC2 was an absolute banger.

Yeah it’s crazy and I am glad he is safe, he is easily one of the most well known and respected car collecters there are. But I do wonder about a few things. I 100% believe his story, zero reason to lie about something like that. But like I would think, no expery by any means, he would have burnt off some hair and I

And here I am using the butt heat even in the summer in Florida. Nothing better for an aching back. Though it annoys me a bit that my Mercedes is my first car that COULD have cooled seats, but doesn’t. But then again, you could only get that option with leather, and I much prefer Tex.

You really are completely lacking in sense of humor, aren’t you? Did I REALLY need a /s on that post?

More proof that money can buy expensive cars, but it can’t buy taste.

And we wonder why cars cost so much. Stop spending money on stupid shit. Make it work and not break, and stop it with the gimmicks. We don’t need to pay some overpaid tech worker to program fake automatics and fart noises into our cars.

I’ll allow it.

I was wondering if they were solid rubber tires!

My parents got one for free and used it for a couple of months to play music and whatnot. I was home with my mom one day and the thing just randomly turned on and you could hear like, people having a conversation on the other end. Like clearly not audio from a movie or tv show or anything, it was just a regular

I try not to condone violence, especially getting shot, but a kick in the ass and a slap in the face, and some jail time for costing people $$$ in tires, that I can stand behind.

Now in that regards, yea those V8's in those massive bodies don’t do them justice. The only one that was pretty reasonable is the Porsche Cayenne turbo. Everything else is like a 4 and below.

What part of this story makes you think tires were rendered useless & replaced prematurely?

TIL deflating tires sends them to the landfill

Pretty sure this is the sort of awful rear seat in pickups that was nominated. They’re terrible, and only meant for children (which, as a child, they were amazing!)
