Most of the ones I’ve seen have full-on headlights, and the instrument cluster is all lit up. Literally, they would have no idea their tail lights aren’t on without walking around the car. I don’t necessarily blame the driver, especially if *their* car doesn’t behave like that, and they’re in an unfamiliar rental

If there’s ever been a “username checks out” moment, it’s definitely you right now lmao

Huh. Didn’t know that.

Never underestimate how stupid people can be.

DRLs are absolutely pointless. Mandatory headlights on at all times.

It’s like pornography - you know it when you see it.

This! A million times, this! How about not having lit dashboards when the headlights are off too while they are at it. GM does auto lights the best. When you turn off auto lights, you also turn off DRLs, therefore no GM product today has this “Drive with DRLs only” at night crap.

There are in at least some states, Missouri for one. I see signs for it on I-270 all the time.

This is my problem with every new Acura that I see coming the other way.

Ha, got em!

This is exactly the problem of (many) new cars. Even if the aim is officially correct, they still blind you if they are tall and your vehicle is not. Hills make it worse.

We all know it. CAFE Standards. Not because the concept is bad (more economical and powerful engines are a pluys), but it has never followed through and has basically killed off station wagons, hatchhacks and sedans.

It is way too easy to get your driver’s license in this country. We need laws that requires more skills behind the wheel and actually keep checking our driving skills well into old age. Just one day of driving around Florida will demonstrate the need for better driver training for new and older drivers.

the fact that red turn signals are still allowed and the stupid US standards designed to be different, not better. And of course, the male-ass 25-year rule, but that would be moot if we signed on to the UNECE standards

It’s this - the FMVSS.

The 25 year import law.

The 25 year import law would get my vote

I just don’t care about the rest of the world.

In a fair and just world, the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic would displace every C-HR and new HR-V on the road right now (not the original HR-V, that was cool)

I want what I want, and I don’t want what I don’t want.”
