That would be neat.

I once (stupidly) thought we would have maximized glass and minimized pillars for improved visibility. Instead, we have thick pillars for safety, which makes sense.

A dial style volume knob.  Looking at you mk8!

I honestly thought more vehicles would replace side mirrors with some sort of camera system. I’m personally glad they haven’t yet, but I thought that would arise before the self driving craze.

A reliable rotary engine. . .

I miss the visibility that older cars provide. Sure, they may not be as safe, but I can’t help but wonder if more accidents would be avoided simply by being able to see what is around us.

Well, we are separate people after all. Hell, I don’t even like visiting friends who live in buildings with doormen.

That’s a 2003-2006 Silverado or Avalanche with the “cateye” headlight

The reporter was telling people about a broken water main in freezing conditions. It’s entirely possible that the SUV was sliding on ice from the broken water line.

My wifes escalade is downright scary at night with the A-piller. I have to triple check sometimes.

Me in the moment that Mike starts the engine:

I can’t wait.

Most of the folks who drive on ice are ice fishermen who know enough to only drive on lakes. It is common enough in the north that most folks who do it have a clue:
