I don’t think it matters how wide it is. If you had a 40 foot restrictor, some of these people would still hit it, because they are driving as far left as they can possibly go.

No, a bunch of people don’t know how to drive.  Even big SUVs in the states would give you 4+ inches of space.  Those tiny cars that are crashing are just bad drivers.  Even those vans are probably not 84" across.

I can’t understand how its those tiny city cars that are having trouble fitting through 7 feet of space.

“seems” is doing a lot of work there, I think this clearly shows people have no concept on how to drive.

It’s just such an off the wall comment, ie “What? Hannah Gadsby?” that it really seems he just is delighting in getting people riled up.

It may be time to realize that Dave is just fucking with everyone re this controversy, and not take all these comments seriously.

WTF? Yeah after 3 Toyota trucks, 84, 91, 94, and well over 500 K on the 22R and RE motors can attest there is no tougher bullet proof choice out there. Of course any Toyota with the 22RE will run til the apocalypse comes. Them Taliban bastards all had them, not as stupid as they looked. (Bastards)

And a TWIC card if they’re going into the docks.

There’s a college near my house that buried a long line of connected shipping containers to make storm shelter for the dorm residents.

IMHO, this is more of a problem with the free market not being able to react fast enough and some of it is due to the participants not being able to grasp the concept that what worked in 2019 is insufficient for current conditions. It is like having a control system and one or more components aren’t budging in response

This. As much as I wanted every one of my Soldiers to get their CDLs on the Army’s dime so they could could have actual skills to use in their civilian lives, I just couldn’t get the Army to pay for it.

Isn’t there a homeless problem in southern California that the Republicans keep talking about?

Agreed, and hauling cargo in a war zone is different then on the highways.

Jesus, that’s... horrible. Who the fuck brings live ammunition to a film set? Someone clearly didn’t do their job.

I’m over here trying to do the math to see if this will fit in my Solstice.

progress!

The funny thing is - the crash test is way way lower than the hood, or even belt line. If a Miata can pass a crash test and it’s down low, the high hood and window sills are purely fashion, not safety. Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that.

My guy, your avatar is a 10 year old economy car, were you really in the market for a $45k SUV?

I think it’s a heinous box of ugly. Way too tall, way too boxy, and the “rugged” look is way too try hard. If it were shorter (maybe 35 inches or so) sleeker (Like, a cd of about .3-.34), we might be talking.

It looks terrible, like Ford just tacked on whatever they could come up with into a box shape. I’m certain people that enjoy the Bronco’s looks also enjoy the Wrangler’s looks, which is unfortunate because the Wrangler and Gladiator look like ass also (doubly so the Wrangler). Nothing like overpaying for exposed door
