There are a few reasons why these systems suck and why Jalops would rather a more robust system that is less screen:

Yeah, I could see that being an issue in spotify. I use pandora, so I’m usually using the radio function. There’s really no good solution for switching between playlists for a hands-free setup. Apple Carplay is equally bad at that.

100% agreed! Every 5 years seems reasonable - practical & written portions - but the standards need to be raised. And once you hit a certain age, make a new vision test mandatory as well. An approach like that should reduce accidents & fatalities across the board, not just benefit those of us who ride.
