didn’t George Carlin have something to say about that?

Minority...... Come to Maryland and run in horror. From younlings to grey haired types.... Definitely more than a minority

Thanks, I enjoyed our chat and just figured I’d throw in the correct side so someone might not get confused through your “thesis” of flawed mathematics and understandings. Now you and some other people who scroll this will realize how much they have in common with the guy at the next pump or lane. I hope you had a

I don’t know, looks like a big cat.”

They’re just making up animals. What are they going to use next, a Puma?

It’s not a thesis is a hypothesis.

The median person may or may not be “dumb” by some unavoidably subjective measure, and half (+/- 1) are worse.

Everyone here probably knows what I’m about to say. There are some NA engines with high compression ratios - and it’s becoming more common because, in general, engine efficiency increases with higher compression ratios. But higher compression increases the chances of knock and higher octane allows the fuel to be

My co-worker drives a first gen wagon, it's coming apart at the seams but it still coughs to life every day for his 50 mile commute.

The accepted best practice is to listen with a mechanic’s stethoscope. Even faint pinging should be audible with one of those. People do add knock sensors; the NBs have them and they’re 95% the same car, so it’s possible to back-port a lot of stuff with a little bit of finagling. It’s not a common modification, but

Completely agree. I have a Skyactiv-G Mazda3 and buy E15(88) when I can get it because of the higher compression ratio. it’s generally good for a 2-3mpg increase. The V8 Dakota I had couldn’t tell the difference between 87 and 89.

You can have knocking that’s too quiet to hear without a stethoscope, or knocking that happens on hot days but not all the time. When the day comes for me to supercharge my Miata, it’s going to be running on 93 from then on. In my opinion it’s not worth experimenting.

Well i’ll be damned @smalleyxb122 & @V10omous. I was not aware that it was measured differently here, although that should have been a safe assumption. Thanks for teaching me something new, and subsequently ruining my Soviet fuel joke.

but how is the original 4wd, lifted Corolla wagon not a crossover in the same way the new, FWD, lifted Corolla wagon is? ‘Corolla’ has been on hatches, wagons, sedans, coupes, and yes, crossovers, for decades. ‘Mustang’ is a travesty, sure, but ‘Corolla’ has never been just a sedan.

That colour is fan-bleeding-tastic.

The Telsas can retaliate with giant cattle prods, the Prii with loudspeakers broadcasting George Cloony’s 78th Academy Awards acceptance speech.

If anyone does this someone on here should take a pic of it and post it on here.

Tanks of powdered coal, air compressors and fake exhaust pipes.

We’re in agreement. This thing’s front end is stupid.

Or since that’s impossible, it having a van style front end would make more sense. Any small front end collision will be a disaster. No one is clamoring for a massive dashboard.
