All hail the physical button. Nothing is as safe. It’s always where you left it. There is physical feedback when you use it. No need to ever take your eyes off the road.
Even on the street in a straight line there’s plenty of skills that can be applied.
The lighting effects actually cheapen the look IMHO. It’s like adding tacky mood lighting from a sketchy ultralounge to a nice fine dining restaurant. It’s trying too hard.
I’m over ostentatious luxury interiors. I don’t even like leather anymore. Real or fake. I’d rather have a mix of a high-end fabric and suede.
I’ve never understood why people like these horrifically tacky “luxury” interiors in their cars. You wouldn’t catch me dead with white quilted leather armchairs and RGB lighting accents in my living room, so why would I think it looked classy in cars?
There is a definite segment of the buying populace that wants people to know they have an EV. But I agree the need to do out-there styling is a recurrent mistake, as well as making everything touchscreen and in some cases, center-binnacles just to look different but actually being just annoying. I imagine Mazda wants…
