It was post college in San Francisco, but in all honesty I went to a liberal arts college so pretentious I’m sure some kids were up in there drinking fernet.

RIP shoes =(

OMG what is it with a certain type of dude and not apologizing for ruining shoes? Someone I went to college with puked Fernet all over my favorite sandals, didn’t apologize. I had to throw them away. There’s no coming back from black anise liquor puke.

Bobby I’m not going to forgive you for that nauseating gif. I’m not.

That’s not true because everyone knows that Kermit did 9/11

A noun, a verb, and 9/11

There’s a certain dull fascination in the way stupid people communicate with each other, isn’t there.

Her makeup + those amazing earrings + the colors in her clothes are amazing.

Personally, I’d take this over the old-school “we’ll handle it honey, don’t go to the police....wait what was your problem again, you whiny mess?” shit that happened at my school. But I guess that’s where we’re at with this issue. “better than nothing” is all there is.

“Keep walking” is up there with “calm down,” apparently.

Boy Scouts of America is making children sleep in trash bags. Horrible.

I predict that he’s going to claim to have been a Clinton plant when he loses.

I want to believe... but it seems like NBC has really been wanting to drag their feet and protect him in this whole thing.

OK so as an unmarried person who will likely stay single forever, I really don’t understand how couples can be that interested in stories of relationships falling apart, or shows where apparently none of the couples depicted are healthy/happy with each other? What’s the draw?

that lighting is um. creative.

I think it’s very likely worth the read. It’s been about 10 years since I read it right after college, so I have no idea how well it holds up, but that book more than anything made me proud to stand up and call myself a feminist. It was a complete paradigm shift for me - I grew up in an affluent southern suburb and

It’s INSANE how even his supporters can’t take responsibility for anything. They don’t offer actual rebuttals or defense, just “well what about x other person?!?!”

People have come to confuse violence and sex with profundity in a world where few boundaries exist. I think this is actually one of the more interesting boundary-pushing ~~dark and deep~~ dramas to come on TV recently. At least it has the existential angle and asks us to grapple with our conception of technology and

One of the more annoying things to come out of all this is people like that one dude on twitter being like “oh I was a producer on the apprentice and there’s TONS worse” - yeah dude, we know. No one with critical thinking skills really believes that tape shows Donald in a rare lapse of judgement. SHOW IT TO US OR

Internalized misogyny is a thing. It’s not a perfect book, but Ariel Levy’s “Female Chauvinist Pigs” makes a great argument about the ways patriarchy rewards women for being anti-woman. Stockholm syndrome is a real thing for many women in our society.
