If you were to draw a scatter chart of The Center Won’t Hold reviews from Metacritic critics and pick out the outliers, this review would get tossed out. So would a brutal review from the NY Times. The reception to this one is going to be a pretty interesting cycle to watch and I'll be intrigued to see how often it

Nailing the Myrdraal will be the biggest visual test imo. Nothing scared me so much as a middle schooler, I think they are Jordan’s best invention bar none, and they carried the early books as legitimate deathbringers.

It’s like an early warning system to any poor souls stuck watching some of these disasters. A quick shit on the logo to let you know just how bad your next hour will be.

That's one way to get Travis Shaw back to the majors!

Been rewatching the original Veronica Mars run and one of my favorite little running gags is how often her friend Mac is called Ghost World due to her Enid aesthetic.

It is hard to give Lester any credit for pulling back at that point. Sure, he prevented himself from crossing a big line, but he’s already caused her plenty of harm and possibly traumatic memories down the road, not to mention poisoning the relationship with his daughter.

Are pants optional?

I did not expect to be this entertained by an article about game wheels, nor for it to be so damn well written. Never even heard of Spin the Wheel and now I’m determined to watch the hell out of it.

Pretty funny to post this on the Chicagoland AV club blog. Sure, they are gawker->gizmodo, but only via acquisition themselves by Univision in 2016. Not shocked at you missing that while pounding out a screed though. Insert thumbs up pc kid.

It’s far and away the leader for Trek, no doubt. While I absolutely think All Good Things... was a better finale, I also think it set a pretty unfair bar for the DS9 finale. It’s a more satisfying conclusion than it gets credit for.

Are we mad at Paige? I’m kinda proud of Paige. It was horrifying, but a just decision by her.

Absolutely the best part (ok, getting saved was good too). Such a common trope in films and TV and I never imagined it was being portrayed realistically at all. Toy Story 3 in real life!

Ebenezer’s opinion on decreasing the surplus population comes to mind.

Dang, why does Spanfeller have to ruin everything.

#teamglamdolls!

Snark away, I’m going to have a blast watching this with old friends.

While it is good to see Better Call Saul rack up a couple nominations, I’m saddened (not astounded, it is the Emmys) that Rhea Seehorn was not included. On a show with great performances she somehow outpaces all of them.

I’m not sure I understand any of the SNL nominations.

I loved everything about that Maria and Mike angle. It was the exact type of non-self serious batshit crazy that i love in my wrasslin. It’s also amusing how they ran laps around the title couple in terms of chemistry and mic work for that bit.
