The difference (well, one of the many) is that the human can explain an action after the fact. AIs often cannot. And so you’re left with what is an obvious problem or failing, and you’re stuck trying to deduce the reason. And scientists, computer or otherwise, don’t always think about things the way everyone else…

We can keep doing this thing where we beg for CarPlay to come back, but Apple continues to demand more and more control over the functions of vehicles. Other OEM’s will follow suit if Apple keeps it up. They couldn’t make their own car, so they’ve decided they just want to control all the cars that other OEM’s make.

I think that may actually be one of the reasons why Musk has thrown his support behind Trump… he would love nothing more than to see the FTC, SEC, CFPB, CPB, OSHA and the IRS destroyed or severely weakened.

Ever year for my middle management job at my company I have to complete a survey declaring whether or not I have any business dealings or investment with any company competitors. If I did, I would probably face serious questions from the company and could possibly lose my job or forced to take a lower level position.

No doubt about that at all, having worked for a health insurance company. And having one decide, after the fact, that a test done on me was “medically unnecessary” and thus not worthy of them paying for it.

Idea: class action lawsuit against both this broker and the insurance companies using them asserting that we are paying higher rates based on inaccurate data.

Same with health care and “death panels.” We already have, but it’s not “the government.”
