Too altruistic to serve an army whose only purpose for the past couple of decades has been fighting kids throwing rocks, removing people from their homes, shooting civilians and protecting a people that will whine about every little thing that’s happened to them but allow no parallels to be drawn between what they’re

This is not a Black-v-White issue either. Israel has a thriving Ethiopian Jewish community, whose members are full citizens of Israel. There have been racial tensions, but by and large those have not been institutional, and where they have been they have been reversed or corrected.

No. She. does. not.

I don’t have anything to add, I just wanted to say that I wholeheartedly agree and thank you for bringing that up.

Loved the article, one thing I feel like we should talk about is how violent Killmonger was specifically towards black women. He was a revolutionary, true, but also a wanton Mysoginist. He killed his GF in cold blood, he choked out an elder, slit the throat of a Dora Milijae and his biggest diss to T’Challah was, i’m

Mine was “another broken white boy for us to fix” I hollered.

In a rather convoluted way, Killmonger had a better understanding of the system of white supremacy than anyone else - and he had the rage to defeat it. Given his flaws, I suspect many of us deeply regret that he was killed. Also, did anyone notice (i might be wrong) he killed white folks while T`Challa/Black Panther

I wish Obama would have done more but I understand why he didn’t; trump and the republicans were ready to scream at the top of their lungs that he was trying to hand the election to Hilary and being the honorable man he is he erred on the side of caution!

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS - Do not read beyond this comment if you have not seen the movie

This is definitely one of those movies that makes you think. When I heard the line “wise men build bridges while fools build barriers” was so damn relevant today that it was SCARY.

“I felt like hugging my father and robbing a bank at the same time.”

* “The real question is, what are THOOOSE?!?!”

I saw it on Thursday alone then this morning (Sunday) again with my family. It is great movie. Of note is the brilliantly written villain.

Listen, I am self-aware enough to know that I’m prolly a tad hyperbolic and sensitive....HOWEVER, that line by Killmonger at the end of the film hit me so hard. I felt like hugging my father and robbing a bank at the same time. This movie is therapeutic. I’m so proud and happy for everyone involved with it.

A movie with an almost all black cast that tackles black issues and racism AND helps to get out the vote? Uh-oh, wypipo ain’t gonna like that.

If you believe that I have a bridge for you. They may come willingly but we’ve heard stories of women being held there against their will.

In the wake of all “Me Too” stories how this sleazy piece of shit has escaped scrutiny is beyond me. For real I am dying to hear the women trapped by this pig tell their stories.

I can’t wait to read this, especially after watching the Questlove segment on “Finding Your Roots”.
