That's not glorious.

It’s always curious to me why the first American subcompact cars were never practical roomy 4-door sedans like the ones in Europe? I understand it was easier to sell sportier more personal cars with two-doors (Pinto, Vega, Gremlin) but they were often bought by families on a budget who crammed their kids in the back

Looks like you have a heart on for him

I had an elderly customer who owned a newer Cadillac which turned butout to be an XTS but she could not tell me which one it was. She had to go look at the name badge on the back of the car. Historically everyone knew which Cadillac when they were nmed but no one can kept track of the newer alphanumeric bullshit.

Chill out. The reply posted in the wrong place.

For its entire production run, the Continental Mark series was the most distinguished within the Ford Motor Company divisional hierarchy positioned above Lincoln. Following the discontinuation of the Continental Division in July 1956, the vehicles would remain marketed within the Lincoln-Mercury dealer structure.

Bland featureless styling. It may as well be a refridgerator in white.

I just bought a used Freestyle with 3rd row sests I’ll never use. But hey it’s a limited with sunroof, seat heaters, satellite radio, memory seat and mirror positions and adjustable pedals.

It is always interesting to me that these Euro Fords were influenced by American Ford design. Look at the early 60s Thunderbird influence in this. Later Cortinas and Taunuses has more of a late 60s early 70s Torino look. The boxy US Ford look of the Fairmont of 1978 always gets credited for being influenced by Euro

I don’t care what anyone thinks. I totally nerd out on the 1976-only Ford Pinto Squire Runabout and it’s companion Mercury Bobcat Squire Runabout.

Interestingly Fleetwood Mac's 1975 "White Album" was untitled signifying an important renewal of the band's history.

Importantly there was never The Edsel. Edsel was a brand like Ford with individual model names like Pacer, Citation, Ranger, Bermuda and Roundup.

I had close friends who each had a 2012 Focus when it was new and they both had to get rid of them because of these transmission defects. Both complained that the cars would bog down in the middle of making a left turn across oncoming traffic and just not fucking go. One of the cars I drove myself on occasion as it

Diplomat was a registered trademark for Opel in another country. Opel Diplomats were not sold in the USA and the Diplomat name was unregistered for use in the US before Chrysler decided to use it.

It has Eleganté like a two-toned 1980 Seville 🤣😂🤣😂

Commado seating is much more fun!😉😂

If you look back at automobiles from every decade they all have a similar average look that defines the style and form of the era.

When will they learn they need to do more than front end sheet metal changes on a Tahoe to make a Cadillac? And even with the front end changes the new look is so meh and not as much of an individual statement as Cadillac used to be.

Yeah this face blown off with a shotgun look for every vehicle has gotten ridiculous!

The compact cars we enjoyed in the 1960s and 1970s were standard sized cars in other parts of the world, particularly in Australia where Falcons and Valiants ruled with Nova-sized Commodores.
