This can be entirely posible. People hoping for a $200 iPad mini and that didn't happen. We are talking about cheap buyers, we know where that leads in the long run...I'm sure Internet browsing market share is still over 90% iPads.

Please who can possibly tell the difference between Android this and Android that. This story sounds completely scripted which wouldn't surprise me at all considering that Google phones are such underachievers when it comes to market share.
Did you think "those things" were enough to outsell the PC industry and to drive the market to purchase 100 million ipads in 2 and half years time? Was it obvious on day one that it was going to be such a successful product or more of a waste of time? As far as I remembered the first day the iPad was announced,…
It is not. They were never asked to 'apologize', that was the media interpretation of the actual request which only involved an 'acknowledgement' of non infringement not an 'apology'. That is exactly what Apple did, they acknowledged that Samsung was no guilty of infringement in the UK. They also used the moment to…
Yes Apple was ready to launch the iPad, that does not mean it wasnt a risk. I already explained these risks which are completely independent of whether Apple the concept was ready or not. These risks also are very different from the risks the iPhone was facing. The iPhone came into a market where rarely any smartphone…
The point here is not isolated copies but the consistency with which Samsung copies Apple on one single device. Such level of copying does not happen to that extent with any other OEM. Which can play a role on why Samsung is the only successful Android OEM out there.
Well that's why you shouldn't try to make Apple to post a public 'apology'. I knew this was going to benefit Apple more than Samsung. They literally quoted the judge, they didn't make anything up, and they also posted facts regarding similar cases in other countries. Not much of an 'apology' but the entire statement…
You don't use the hardware for its internals but for te software u can run on it. I don't think you need a Quad Core to render blown up phone apps on a Nexus or Kindle Fire tablet. Unlike Android the iPad has countless apps designed for it and unlike Android iOS doesn't need much power to be responsive. Also iPads…
This a poor excuse. Phones don't need metal bands around them or a single center home button. Just like phones don't need to be packed in similar fashion. Touchwiz doesn't need a 4x4 grid of icons let alone icons that use the same colors and shapes as iOS. Before the iPhone there was not anything like it, that is how…
not if you are selling Kindles at a loss hoping to make money off content.
What im saying is that you dont need a Kindle to have access to Amazon's e-books. I have a million of them on my iPad.
It's hard to compete with Apple. Amazon's only way in is to give away products and hope people will actually use them to buy their content but as it stands I'm sure iOS drives more content from Amazon than their entire kindle line.
Those 7" tablets followed the iPad, they were not meant to exist before that. The iPad which established a product category on its own. 7" tablets are not a product category just a smaller version of what was already marketed in a bigger size. This is why I think it is a bit absurd to suggest that Apple is a…
How much of that software available for the Nook and the Nexus is actually optimized for the denser pixel count?
That is a weird assumption considering that products take years of concept development before reaching the market. I always thought an iPad mini was inmminent just like the iPod nano, the MBA and the Mac Mini, none of them happened in day one.
The price is actually pretty good. Apple doesn't need to sell tablets at a loss when they have the market in their back pocket. It is not healthy for any business to sell tablets for $200 unless ur name is Amazon.
This is about competition period. Just like people purchase products from Amazon because it is cheaper, Apple also can get their parts from a cheaper supplier. If Samsung cant match the price thats not Apple's problems just like its not my problem if Best Buy cant match amazon prices for a damn HDMI cord.
Then what's left for the rest?
I actually don know how to use OSX, I've had Windows for as long as I can remember. I've played with countless netbooks as well and I wouldn't buy one in a million years. I've considered getting an Air but I ended up purchasing the MPR 3 months ago.
I wouldnt call 100Mb a 'data plan'. This is just designed to make u pay for expensive data plans through Verizon. A single 1 minute long YouTube video will consume all ur 'data allowance'.
