I’d rather take my life into my own hands than to trust something that isn’t fool proof.

Oh believe me I blame Tesla for this too. They try so damn hard to be ahead of the curve or edgy that they act like engineers in a consumer world. Basically they assume their users are smart enough to understand that.
He was absolutely right which is why I sure as heck didn’t mock him, but people think I’m paranoid too. The problem is that most people don’t really think things through to their logical conclusion and think that those who do are nuts. Hence why they are so willing to secede control of their lives to an untested beta…
What part of beta do Tesla owners not understand? They use the feature like it’s a damn toy.
It’s not even his money, it’s his dad’s, this little punk hasn’t done anything yet other than exist.
*In Rick voice* What? Oh that? That’s what impresses you I guess, yeah she’s parting the water, whatever. *burp*
It’s why we were the road rage capital of the world for 20 years, these goddamn people.
We have a lot of roads like that in the LA area, and you’re correct it’s intended for people to go right with traffic and make a u-turn later. Even better go to the street with a light instead which is usually only a block or two away.
One of those idiots almost caused me to get into an accident on the freeway, came to a complete stop and tried to reverse to get to a missed on-ramp. Idiot only started going again when I laid on the horn and even then he drove as slowly as humanly possible like I was fucking forcing him. How hard is it to just go to…
If the tech gets there they will be, Utopian idealists love the idea of taking away any and all autonomy we have and forcing us into their ideal society.
You and me both, I saw this many many years ago and thought this was what hell must be like. I hate the idea of a future where driving yourself is illegal unless you’re a member of law enforcement with a special operator’s license.
So how many runaway trucks does that bridge have every year?
Also keep in mind that this incident was not caused by a single bad cop, or even a few bad cops. This travesty required the involvement of the entire justice system of Orange County, from the judiciary, the chief of police, the captain of that precinct, and down to multiple officers.
A day or for a hundred days? If that’s the price for 3 months I’m all over that.
They do that on every police-involved shooting as a matter of policy, not as an attaboy but because killing another person even when it’s justified is a traumatic experience. They’re just giving the cop time to process what he’s done and get right in the head before he comes back to the job. Honestly I prefer that…
Just a matter of time until those same idiot citizens give away those rights too.
I’m sure there’s a hundred good cops for every bad one, the problem is the good cops rarely do shit about the bad ones cause they all bleed blue.
And they wonder why traffic stops are getting more and more dangerous for officers. Maybe if they weren’t a damn bandit with a badge looking to rob me I wouldn’t want to shoot them in the face.
It makes me hate them all, mainly the corrupt cops but also the officers, justice system, and citizens who enable them.
And yet you missed the part where the cops said the cyclist was at fault initially but that report disappeared and the officer got a sudden case of amnesia when this harassment started.
