At the price of this damn trailer, it would be cheaper to keep an old V8 in the garage just for camping trips to pull a conventional trailer. Nope, sorry but when the trailer needs to be as complicated as the EV just to be towed, something is very frickin wrong.

Ask Jimmy Buffet about that. Look up one of his songs called Jamaica Mistaka. He got shot at by the police while landing his Goose to get a fish sandwich. They thought he was a ganja plane.

Jesus H. Christ on a poppy seed bun. I’ll bet that thing rolls like a baitch in rough water. You’ve got to love the A/C stuck on the side. LMAO

I’ll see your Albatross and raise you this delicious wingless monstrosity. I think it was a Catalina originally. I saw it in the flesh back in the 80s in North Queensland and I believe it is still around.

If this sits in a junk yard for another 10 years and accrues some “patina”, what’s the bet an older, and yet still unwiser David Tracy, will buy it. Bet against me.

Yea, I had an 81, real fun to drive and in the yuppie 80s, a great “tail harvester”. I only sold mine to move up to a gen 2 prelude and continue the process. I have memories of a girl sometime in the mid 80s, somewhere on a Queensland highway, with her head and chest out of the sunroof, an arm resting on either side

As an Aussie, that is butt Butt ugly and the B and C pillars just look stupid. Especially when I compare with the Australian 1979 Ford Fairmont. This was the culmination of the XA-XB-XC shape and it was a serious Allan Moffat Bathhurst winner for years. Our Fairmont has style and soul. This box here for sale above

If a test pilot can eject from an SR71 Backbird at 30k feet and going faster than mach 1 and live to tell the tale (it happened), flies have nothing to worry about. ;-)

Come down under mate. A wasp in the car is merely food for all the snakes and spiders that regularly call our cars home.

Agreed. I have cats and I’ve always wondered if, when you take them to a country where the language is different, do they understand the cats in that foreign country. I do however know that cows have regional moos so I hope that helps.

I would nearly pay 10 cents to live in your head for a few hours Torch.

“Maybe the timing belt change is 75% of the labor to get to the water pump?”

I will correct you on that one Jason. The variant is a type 3. It is the wagon version of the VW TL. How do I know? I nearly bought one but went for the fastback TL instead. You might be thinking of the Brasilia, which was a type 1.

On a related note, John Wayne’s “location trailer” has been here in Brazil for more than 30 years and forms part of a display at a theme park called Mundo Beto Carrero. Beto (now deceased) was the founder and was a would be cowboy and a mega fan of the Duke’s so he bought it at auction after Wayne died and did not

I had one of these and only sold it to upgrade to a 2nd gen model. This one is so perfect, I’d be tempted to daily drive it because I have no doubt in my mind that it is up to the task.

Motor mounts ? Do you mean CV joints ? I never had an issue with motor mounts. CV joints on the other hand were notorious for failing. Having said that, I always carried a spare and I could change one on the side of the road in 30 min.

Rubbish. They cost nothing to repair. You only need string and chewing gum and the motor is bulletproof. And the ride is awesome. I’ve had dozens of Austin/Morris 100s and 1800s. These are very driveable and reliable enough to take out every weekend.

Not true. They sold no fewer than 2.1 million of the ADO16 back in the day and that my friend is not to be sneezed at. I am an Aussie/Brit and I’ve had and driven these and they are a hoot. No different to the mini, just slightly bigger.

This is a decent entry level classic in great condition and at a peanuts price. There are very few of them left on UK roads due to the salt so the US versions may well be the last on the road anywhere at the end of the day. People will bitch about the Lucas electrics and yes they are crap (I’ve had no fewer than 6 of

Is it just me or does anybody else think that this looks fishy ? Repaint for sure but as I sniff the air, I sniff rust underneath that paint. My gut says Run Forrest run, this one is haunted.
