They appeared in Jason Segel’s monologue, as part of promoting his Muppets movie.
Kermit sang “Rainbow Connection” with Justin Timberlake some time in the 00s (I think). It was a decent sketch. One of the rare late in the evening sketches that still managed to be funny.
Smugness, bigot, walking okay boomer man, platformer of dreadful people, and lover of complaining about the kids and insert stupid sjw pc cancel culture term here. The man is a leech and I'm stunned he is still around.
Unfortunately, it is not limited to him just being smug.
I read that as Real Time canceled and got excited. I cannot remotely believe I used to like this show. If smugness could become sentient, it would be Bill Maher.
Nice
My God! No! Is the Covid okay?
And nothing of value was lost..........
I really, really liked Ellen for a very long time, felt bad for her over the fallout of her coming out, and was happy for her comeback with the talk show (plus she was a great Oscars host). It’s kind of amazing that the estate licensed rights at all, given how snippy they are about the Jackson LotR movies, which reps for the estate speak of as abominations. I halfway think they said, “We’ll start the bidding at something insane, like $300 million, and no one will ever bother us again,” and were shocked…
Oh god same, they really exposed a lot of problems Jackson has had a for a long time. I can’t even imagine watching the original movies again. I also just prefer much shorter movies now.
Wow, special effects look really bad when you freeze ‘em like that. Or has that scene aged more poorly than I remember?
As for how many people need to watch Lord of the Rings? A lot. A giant, global audience needs to show up to it as appointment television, and we are pretty confident that that will happen.”
Still less than Jeff Bezos’ boat.
