Because blue lives don’t :)
Also I forgot to say, and it’s too late to edit my comment: I actually really liked Octopath 2, I especially appreciate how they made it so easy to pick back up after putting it down for months because the number one reason why I rarely finish long games is that I get busy and stop playing for awhile and then forget…
Ya I managed to spend a good 100 hours on it at least and still haven’t finished the main story lmao
omg I forgot that came out this year. I love that game xD Haven’t finished it yet though, dunno when I will
I think Sea of Stars should be on here too :P I know y’all didn’t review it but imo it was a better RPG than Octopath Traveler II by far
“the game is no better or worse than Ubi or Sony’s massive open-world collectathons” so it’s like a 6/10, maybe a soft 7?
Eee I’m excited, I really loved New Super Mario Bros U back in the Wii U days and this sounds way more weird and experimental, which are two of my fav things about the 3D Mario Games, so it's nice to see a 2D one leaning into that too.
“No doubt the community will vilify me, while criminals are elevated to meme and legend status,” he wrote. “It’s no wonder why people are losing faith in humanity.”
Is this supposed to be a selling point because all I can think is “Who the fuck has time for that”
It kinda sounds like maybe the issue is less about using dice rolls too much and more about the consequences for failure being too boring? I haven’t played BG3 yet (I want to I just haven’t had the money to drop on it yet) but this article kinda makes me think of Disco Elysium and how I hardly ever mind failing a dice…
There’s actually a strong case to be made that believing in “witchcraft” wasn’t the problem per se, but that the witch trials were a deliberate campaign by the church to destroy whatever social power women had and weaken solidarity between sexes among the working class. Sylvia Federici's Caliban and the Witch is a…
idk if I agree with the term “cancel culture” because that implies this is new behavior, but I will say I find it annoying that every celebrity who has some kind of allegations like this end up going through the same process. First everyone’s like “Ah-HAAAA!! NOW we see what you’re REALLY like. All those things we…
I don’t have OCD, just regular old boring social anxiety, but I loved this game!! One of those horror experiences that isn’t TOO scary in the moment but really sticks with you for awhile afterwards because of the strong writing and interesting characters.
The demo was great! I can’t wait for the full game to come out. I also really need to play the Messenger
I’ve somehow managed up ‘til now to avoid ever playing a live service game or anything that involves a “battle pass” (I think I used to watch my roommate play Call of Duty and played a couple matches but not enough to really understand how it worked) can someone explain to me what a battle pass is and why someone…
Ooh good to know that this comes out soon! I went to buy it on Steam the other day but it said it was in early access and only had like one act so far and I was like... I mean I’m sure it’ll be awesome but 70 bucks is a bit much for me to spend on a game that’s not done yet lol (it was like 70 bucks Canadian) but I’m…
Finally bought this game last night after reading this and I love it so far :P Thanks for the great writeup!
Ooh okay. See that actually sounds dope :P especially if there’s multiplayer (which I’m assuming there is? the most fun part of D&D is getting to interact with other ppl imo) I’m definitely gonna keep an eye out for this.
Oh sick! Thank you for explaining that. I actually tend to prefer turn-based games anyway, as much as I love Dark Souls and Elden Ring I do find them stressful lol... I saw in the article that the races in Baldur’s Gate are based on D&D, is the combat system based on D&D too? Like grid-based movement and dice rolls…
This sounds really cool!! I’ve never played Baldur’s Gate before, but I feel like from footage I’ve seen of the old ones it’s kinda like Diablo? Is that accurate? I might pick it up if it runs on Steam Deck!
