Just finished this season, I thought it was great! Not sure where it ranks for me compared to the other ones but I think it was definitely the most consistently good. Loch Henry and Demon 79 were my faves for sure followed closely by Joan Is Awful :P

I wouldn’t know, it was downloaded when I woke up xD

tbh I hardly ever pre-order but I did pre-order TOTK because I was 99.9% confident it was gonna be good and I didn’t wanna have to wait for it to download on launch day lmao... I’m a huge hypocrite though because I have made the exact same argument as you many times. “What are they gonna do, run out of downloads?” lmao

I don’t get the point of a game being always-online if you’re not playing multiplayer? Is there a not a single-player mode? I don’t really play many AAA games so I’ve kinda missed this whole live-service trend (thank goth) but the last online AAA game I played was Elden Ring and that would boot you if you disconnected

Yeah makes sense, I definitely think compared to like... the coloring book aesthetic of Yoshi’s Island, or even Earthbound which didn’t look that great at the time compared to DKC or Final Fantasy VI but now looks pretty much exactly as good as it did (and those enemy battle sprites and backgrounds are dope, change my

You think so? I was just thinking that I felt like it aged surprisingly well considering how old it was.

I’m SO excited for this but I wonder how it’s gonna play to people who haven’t played the original. I mean it came out in... What, 95? 96? I bet at least a good 50% of the Switch install base wasn’t even alive then. I showed my friend the trailer and she said “Yeah I didn’t really understand any of it so I retained

Yeah idk I feel torn on it, I really love the backgrounds and environments, I’m a little less sold on the way Mario looks but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. That having been said, I really don’t like the battle UI, I hope that’s not finalized yet.

Kinda fucked up that this series is debuting on the streaming platform owned by the real-world company most likely to actually do the whole “let’s turn our employees into slaves and also horse-people so they can work more efficiently” thing from Sorry to Bother You. I’m definitely gonna watch this though, just gonna

Ohhh huh yeah! That’s really interesting. I do know mobile/phone games tend to be associated with free to play and microtransactions (although those are ubiquitous on console/PC now too) but there’s plenty of complex, one-time-payment games on phone too.

What does social and casual gaming mean in this context? Cuz like... I play a lot of games that I would consider casual for me (Stardew Valley, Super Auto Pets, Vampire Survivors, 20 Minutes Til Dawn) but other people might not consider casual at all... Would like Jackbox Party Pack count as casual? What about like,

LMAO it was a typo but this is so much funnier xD

Honestly I just canceled my subscription. I wasn’t even sharing my password, just on principle I don’t have a ton of patience for a company being like “Hmm we’re losing money; I know, how about we make our service worse (by making it more expensive and difficult to share your password with friends) instead of, I don’t

Yeah, right; if women also enjoy my favorite hobby why haven’t I seen any? Why don’t I have any women gamer friends? Why am I so lonely? Why are all my relationships so emotionally unfulfilling? Why do I feel so empty inside? Why do I get these uncontrollable bursts of anger at the slightest mention of women being

God, I’m struggling to put into words how much I loathe this man

I guess whether it was murder or self-defense is really up to her? I agree that it could be considered self-defense but who knows if that’s actually why she did it. Maybe after she stabbed him she was just angry at him for attacking her. If we're talking what it would be considered in court I think it'd pretty clearly

I could be wrong but didn’t she NOT stab him in the eye? I could have sworn have the reason that scene freaked me out so much was she stabbed him more in like, the side of the head, and must’ve either damaged his optic nerve or his brain and made him think he was stabbed in the eye. Maybe I’ll have to rewatch it cuz I

idk I actually like a lot of Kotaku’s reporting, they’ve done really good exposes on the toxic culture at Nicalis and the crunch at Naughty Dog, stuff like that is dope. I don’t usually find them that clickbaity, maybe a bit more openly opinionated but I actually like that about them. It’s just this specific article

Ohhh wow okay, that’s super interesting

What’s concurrency mean? Like I know what things happening concurrently means but what does that mean in this context?
