Being scripted does not mean that the emotions and words are not deeply felt by the speaker. Mike Joy often scripts his passionate speeches. That way, he can make the most impact with his words.

I think there’s a good chance of it, especially somebody local that’s associated with the track. I would hope in wouldn’t be somebody with NASCAR or one of the teams, but then again, look at that truck racer that walked over the flag.

I’ve never been to Talladega, but I do spend a lot of time at Kentucky Speedway and Mid-Ohio (among other non-NASCAR tracks), and neither have cameras in those areas...or anywhere, really. It’s plausible that a team would bring their own security cameras, but pretty unlikely.

This was really powerful to watch. Kinda fun to think whatever dope put the noose there is going to wind up making this movement stronger than if he hadn’t.

Was a heartbreaking scene to see live, Mike Joy damn near lost it. I’m so angry, all this sport is trying to do is be inclusive and support diversity to create a stronger and accepting enviornment.
