Damn, really? I know that's before Telltale really hit its stride, but still - goddamn.

As much as I've heard good things about The Odd Gentlemen, I can't help but hope a Sierra property falls into Telltale hands at some point. Just imagine Quest for Glory, for example, in their hands.

I tried to go back to those, but I was unable to get past the '90-ness of them. I did play them a bit back in the day, but I ended up getting sidetracked and never finishing any of them (funny enough).

Ha! Yep. This definitely sounds like me.

Interesting - I had to use the console command to remove everything. Print Screen does the trick for screenshots. They just go into your My Documents folder.

I'm seeing that my initial point about Skyrim/etc was off the mark.

See, I agree and I stay away from most of the other games.

Shit, I played that so long ago I'd forgotten there was readables at all.

I chose Mages, and I'm pretty happy with my choice. I imagine the Templars are just as satisfying, though?

I'm assuming it does at some point after the first major story arc. I haven't gone to check if it's open yet in my game - it's on my (happily very long) to-do list, though.

I can see your point, I suppose, but I still disagree in this case.

I sort of agree, I guess, but it's all perspective, isn't it?

Perhaps. A fair point to consider.

Fair - I mean, I did too, but for a lot of people that's sort of the point. Maybe there is something to be said about over-peppering open world games with dull side quests.

I totally agree with you on the Codex entries - if it's one of "textbook" style codexes, I don't even pause to skim it. And part of me feels bad - like you, I'm an avid writer/reader - but I'm just not a lore guy. The last thing I want to do in a video game is stop and read dry, historical accounts of the world I'm

Yeah, Skyrim is a game I STILL promise myself I'm going to come back to one day. I've hardly scratched that one, and that was - what - two, three years ago it came out?

Yeah, the "gotta be next to something to interact" threw me at first, and still kind of does. Also wish there wasn't a pickup animation for every single thing, and the tactical camera is definitely a bit wonky.

If we're talking about the Darkspawn/Dwarf Statue cave, we're on the same page. Gorgeous.

P.S. - If you're on PC, turn off the HUD occasionally by bringing up the console with the ~ key, and typing ui.drawenable 0.

That cave was fucking GORGEOUS. I had to pause and just gape at everything, while hammering on the screenshot key.
