Nope, nope, nope. Miscarriages are so common and people are expected to suffer privately. If they want to grieve privately that is one thing, but who is to say you cannot be public with your grief? I was shocked by the number of women who came to me after my miscarriage with stories of their own. I think it was huge

I’ve noticed something of a movement recently by would-be parents who’ve had miscarriages to encourage breaking the silence and taboo around the topic. Mark Zuckerberg and his wife are a recent example. It seems very brave and healthy to me.

Why does this need to be private? I wish that I had known that it was so common when I miscarried, saying that we should wait or that it’s private or shouldn’t be talked about it why so many people end up blindsided when it happens.

They’re vloggers - so basically their whole life is on the internet. I’ve been talking alot this week about how I’m happy to see an open conversation about miscarriage happening in the public - would you say that a vlogger talking about cancer or another medical condition was too personal?

Yeah, it’s personal, but it could be worse to not say anything at all and to have to deal with hearing people congratulate them continuously or carry on as though they are still pregnant. That’s painful. I waited until I was 16 weeks until I announced my 1st pregnancy on Facebook and then terminated once we found out

Agreed, I hate that I understand the logic here.

It’s times like this that I hate my legal education, because, well, if she’s asking for damages on account of a claim that she has been utterly unable to have sex since the incident, then she has to provide at least some evidence that she has been utterly unable to have sex.

I went to high school in NJ, and comprehensive sex ed is required, but I lived in a pretty conservative area of the state, so the health/gym teachers were pretty much like, “this is how you have safe sex, but premarital sex is slutty, so if you think of having it, you should be ashamed of yourself!” Also, they didn’t

Hey now this is America, where we abstain from all forms of education.

ANNE HATHAWAY IS A TIME-TRAVELER AND AN OSCAR WINNER?

Suddenly “Exit. Pursued by a bear” makes a lot more sense.

Yesssssss!

Given the little amount of time Shakespeare spent in his house in Stratford on Avon it’s more likely to be Anne Hathaway’s weed, I believe she also brewed a fine beer and ale. Must read Shakespeare’s Wife again sometime.

tbh I would not be surprised. I just saw Cymbeline last week and man I love Shakey, but that play has more revelations and ridiculous plot devices than anything I’ve ever seen. I could totally see a high ass Shakespeare coming up with that.

Verily.

I just came to say that. The Tempest also has a bit of the writing while high vibe

That explains “ A Midsummer Night’s Dream” .

And he had awesome friends:

I think we all know that “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” was the “Up In Smoke” of the 16th century.
