Just casually for exercise. I have bad ankles so running suuuucks for me, so I wanted something a little more low impact. I’m also not a very strong swimmer, so I’m thinking doing some laps occasionally could also help with that.

Eh, that’s fair.
My horrible ankles are why I’ve thought about spinning, and swimming. I need a good workout like running that isn’t so high impact, because whenever I’ve tried I always end up hurting myself :(
I live just below Prospect Park, but I work in Greenpoint, so I’ve considered either going to the Greenpoint Y or the Park Slope one.
Do you like the Y? I live in Brooklyn and I’ve been considering getting a membership. I’d really like to start swimming for exercise and maybe take a couple of other classes.

So basically she knew exactly what kind of man she was marrying.
I have a teensy soft spot for Lea Michele, but not as much because I’ve heard more stories about her being not as nice a person, where with Anne it’s more just eye-roll-worthy “oh honey” shenanigans.
EXACTLY. Everyone thinks they’d be ubercool like Angelina Jolie or whatever but so many of us would just be huge uncool weirdo dorks with millions of dollars, or at least I would.
I like her, probably because I think if I were rich and famous I’d be nearly as awkward and insufferable. I was a theatre kid, and she’s exactly a theatre kid who grew up and became successful.
I just watched Hush Monday night! I loved it. You’re Next is a great one, too. I’m the same way about home invasion movies—too real, and they tend to be predictably disturbing and overly gory in a way I don’t like (sometimes I check the parent’s guide on IMDB to see if there are any graphic rape scenes because that…
I FUCKING LOVE THAT MOVIE. It’s the beeeeest.
Woahhhhh shit man
Yeah, I’ve seen THAT movie, out in the wilderness where no one can hear your desperate cries for help.
Also check shelters! There are LOTS of purebred dogs in shelters, and sometimes they get placements from rescue organizations.
The tour guide my group had when I first arrived in London for study abroad gave us “Don’t pay 50p to pee, go to the museum and pee for free”
Just went to the article you referenced
