“Everyone seems to forget the Colorado, I think it’s a good looking truck.”

“MSRP starts at $19,995. You think a truck should cost less? Wow. I thought I was cheap :-P”

The author seems to forget that many of those people in “cheap cars” chose those cars specifically because pickup trucks were too big, too expensive and too thirsty; we’re facing an 18-year demand for a truly COMPACT pickup truck and with the exception of a single model, the Nissan Frontier, every pickup truck on the

Speaking of SPAC-backed startups, I’m hoping the SEC ends up banning the process. These SPACs are designed to bypass legitimate IPO processes.

Needs many more true colors. A nice Chocolate Brown, Lincoln Green, Burgundy Red, Russet Orange... Really, cars and trucks are so bland and boring; no variety at all!

Less cab, more bed. Keep the same length and replace about half of that second row with bed space instead.

I owned one of the last of the LeSabre ‘T-type’ coupes and felt it was the best car I had ever owned... Well, until somebody pulled in front of me, that is.

If Buick had actually BUILT the Bengal, the new customers they wanted just might have shown up... Hmmmm?

You’re far from the first to say it; I coined the term RoadWhale™ for full-sized trucks back about 8 years ago, maybe longer, on a certain pickup truck blog site.

Problem is that the photo makes this thing still look too big because there is almost no obvious size reference outside of the single handrail (in yellow) to the right in this image. Even so, it suggests the height to the bed rail is over five feet, which makes it taller than the ‘80s-vintage Ranger and likely wider

Modern mid-sized pickups are almost as bad. They’re longer than the average ‘70s-vintage full sized truck and nearly as wide. The so-called ‘mid-sized’ trucks of the ‘70s (really compact trucks) were highly practical by comparison.

1973 Ford Gran Torino: Huge, heavy, fuel hog and most unreliable car I ever owned (and I’ve owned some bad ones.

Glad to see that somebody agrees with me that modern pickups are simply TOO BIG!  I’ve coined the term RoadWhales™ elsewhere and I will use it here, as well.

Looks pretty but I see so many problems with the concept... Why expensive solar panels on a throwaway, short-lifespan device? Why that specific claw design? Why use the body of the ‘claw’ to protect the captive satellite on re-entry when the intent is to destroy it? For all that it looks so nice, it comes across as

There is almost no possible way that crash can be blamed on Autopilot, per the data currently shown. There is no indication whatsoever that Autopilot was controlling the car after its handing control over at 40 seconds prior to the crash.

Heh. Reminds me of the issues they had with the SuperBird and the Dodge Daytona back in ‘69 or so.

If we leave out the snark, I think it’s a good idea. I do believe the woodgrain trim should come farther down the doors, like below the Grand Wagoneer badging at the edge of the horizontal crease on the door for the older-style panel look. The colored striping looks good too, though may be a little sharp-cornered for

I tried to binge Game of Thrones and simply couldn’t get past the fourth episode... For that matter, I can’t get past chapter six in the book--and I happen to love most SF/FAN novels.

I expect the sub-titled Chinese version will be far, FAR better than these guys’ “adaptation.”

Personally, I’d take an original as a Resto-Mod, using a modern 1.8T and transmission with modernized suspension. Keep the body as original as possible.
