Two main currents have risen to dominance in media during the 21st century as a result: 1) the demolishing of previous standards of elitism (often racist, sexist, and classist) via a mentality often loosely called “poptimism”

Everyone posting defensive comments on behalf of Netflix on Disney, please stop for 2 seconds and think about what it means that you feel the need to defend mega-corporations from criticism.

They should cast the My Pillow guy next.

But victims don’t owe the public their bared soul or excruciating detail to be believed.”

‘Listen, you’re much better at the game portions of it with Mario and all that stuff. Why don’t you let us take care of the hardware?’

Yea but we’re getting to the point where expressing concern about outrage is resulting in articles like this, instead of, you know doing something truly shitty.

She actually compared gay conversion to trans hormone therapy. Its a really shitty comparison, but its also drastically different than supporting gay conversion therapy, because the shitty point she’s failing to make is that hormone conversion therapy is as problematic as gay conversion therapy.

Yea but isn’t that because she’s been constantly on the defensive since the initial controversy?

“Clearly asking someone like J.K. Rowling nicely to re-consider her anti-trans stance and have compassion for people who are actively being murdered based on this harmful ideology isn’t working. Seems pretty reasonable to yell at her about it at this point.”

What’s shitty about it exactly? Were we not supposed to have fun with No Man’s Sky 2.0 in order to maintain the previous status quo?

Yea I feel like people forget they had two great games under their belt. Games that were best known for their writing, not their finely tuned gameplay systems and polish.

More money, more expensive, worthless executives that justify their salaries by piling on to project workloads by adding half formed ideas” that developers already had and opted against to maintain a realistic schedule. That’s how you become like everyone else

Sure! As long as its at the bottom, you wily contrarian.

Yea “negativity” around DS2 and DS3 is largely manufactured to rank 3 almost perfect games.

Yea but an RPG character is still a character. I haven’t played much DnD, but most people don’t just play themselves, right? They’re stepping into another character’s shoes and acting like them. So there’s a level of consistency that comes with a person thinking like another person, rather than thinking like a list of
