The lead pic really helps highlight such a polarizing design. (I think it’s chillingly ugly)

Glad to see more newness and good stuff from Lincoln! Hope to see at the local autoshow next year.

I was thinking similar - I wonder how much rust that IS has for that price.

I feel like most S-type jags with gearbox codes I see on CL are about $1.30 after you help them see “what they really have”. No offense to them, I like them! Just don’t seem to hold any value...

Just had another thought - about that feeling of unknown when you see one. Was driving a car that had the “O/D” light start flashing. So, in this car, that can mean “a solenoid reads out of range and is perfectly driveable” all the way to “transmission temperature too high”

In my experience with CEL’s, it’s almost never the gas cap. The “gas cap” has become the paraiah of the evap system and the go to for blaming CELs. Sure, sometimes it really is the gas cap. But not anywhere near AutoZone commercials and arm chair mechanics make it out to be.  (I say that endearingly as a hobbyist deep

Go get a used Town Car

I don’t disagree it’s a warning sign, but it could make good sense too. If this car was in storage, I would not expect it to be driven out. It would need to be towed out and put on a lift and examined before attempting to start. Too risky to just toss in a battery and turn the key if a car like this has sat for an

$30k for “novelty” for that thing is the kind of novelty you get if you just won a billion dollars in the lottery.

WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee’s have similar - stock is a very thin tank “shield” but there was an optional heavy duty unit that was actually a skid plate. It made some people think they all came with skid plates on the tanks.

There may be more, perhaps even some more interesting options.  It’s gotta be something!

I’m guessing it will have no issue pulling the boat, but on a downhill I would question if the brakes are up to stopping the boat.

Could be one of these options:

Beat me to it!  I just see something that in a few weeks you won’t notice again until late Spring

When storage compartments work great but for different uses than orginally intended...

I like it. The price is too high though. But I am sucker for Triumphs. So I’m gonna help it out with a NP vote anyway :)

This is like the dad joke of custom car modification.  Like you try to make a pop icon but intentionally get the make and model wrong because you don’t want to admit you know that sort of thing

There was a BMW X5 commercial years back with an apparent burned out foglight - but according to Google that was actually part of it's automatic adaptive lighting due to going around a corner. All this time I thought it was a goof... Until literally just now.

I agree on the spring compressing comments you made - I’ve never had an issue, do it properly, and even over the years have bought nicer spring compressors. But still, every time I have a generally uncomfortable feeling like I’m defusing a bomb...

No air cleaner and a bungee cord to point the air inlet at the front passenger wheel well for all the dirt/dust/water/mud it can kick up - this will no doubt prove how reliable that 2JZ really is!
