I wasn’t alive in the 70's (super close though!), but it did mean that for money reasons, my first car would come from the malaise era. And I remember riding in some too as a kid. But one of my ways of remembering, is reading old Road and Track, Car and Driver, etc.

I’m late to the game here, but I feel your pain. I use the term “scope creep” but it’s the same deal. I just did this on an ‘82 Mustang GT. I bought one as a roller and was going to thrash install a used 5.0 into it over a weekend so I could move it while working another project. 4 months later, it’s a pretty awesome

I heard Ford let the sale happen when they learned Cena planned to Armor-All the interior of the GT.

How in the heck could that happe---oh, MA?  S10?  Yep, this makes sense.

Easy answers:

My only defense is that it’s a Monday :)  But very true!

Neutral: We need some cool truckin’ movies to make trucking cool again.

That’s actually very close to what I’m building / have - MKII body but the motor is an early MKIII.  I don’t have an OD unit (yet) though...may look for one as I build the drivetrain up.

It probably isn’t apparent, but my avatar picture is the passenger side door of a 1967 Spitfire. In full restoration at the moment, because I like these little cars.

Several flavors too in various cars- Green Lightning, Cowabunga Yellow, and Screamin’ Red ;)

I hope people didn’t read those headlines and think it’s somehow any bit safe to drink fluids from your radiator. I doubt they would have found her alive had she done that. Vast majority of vehicles on the road will have a mix.

We’re a bit south of the “rust belt” and still have replaced brake lines on cars this old. The fact is many cars have regular mild-steel based brakelines with no coatings or coverings. No stainless steel, no coated lines, etc. So, they rust pretty quick.

This would be a popular car at the local cruise in - definitely something you don’t see every day. But, you really need to be craving attention to want to pay $20k for this example. Way too many issues to command that price. I have to imagine there are going to be more of these coming stateside anyway.

CP for sure.

A 1/2 inch Grade 8 bolt has a shear strength of over 17,000lbs. A Grade 5, 14,000lb. There are at least 2 holding the engine in plus two on the transmission mount.

What do you do when you are done with the umbrella, it’s wet, and you roll it up and put it back in the door frame holder tube?

Ouch, David Tracy could have gone WJ or ZJ Jeep Grand Cherokee...even the tried and true XJ! But he went Pathfinder!!  Must want to keep the Jeeps for himself ;)

The key is ability to run high power tools. Many cars have small inverters and power outlets. Look at that one - 150w max. Not much uses only 150 watts of power. Laptop, phone charger, smaller LED TV maybe. Just about any appliance easily is over 150w, and pretty much any power tools easily surpass this:
