From a general standpoint, as the owner, you are certainly free to do with it what you choose. There is no protection after a sale, unless somehow part of a contract of sale, to dictate what will occur with the car in the future.

Cool, bookmarked to check out more later, sounds interesting!

You don’t need to replace the Leaf but augment it. Get something older, a classic, put in 75% or so of the budget on purchase, and the rest for some minor repairs needed or upgrades/improvements.

First was road force balancing, but the latest tech is road force alignment!

doh - responded to wrong one! (edited)

Yeah, sadly I believe you are 100% correct. It would be nice though! But yeah, for cheap stuff, it’s just not cost effective for them to support selling those.

True - but CarMax will give wholesale (or around that) for a car they buy. The idea of selling something on consignment would be the sales folks there help you get top dollar, and the consignment place takes either a flat fee or a 10% of sale sort of deal.

The car sellers conundrum - let someone test drive the car solo and risk them wrecking it, driving crazy in it, or stealing it. Or, ride along, where you risk much the same, but with you in the car.

Those fb polls are rough man...

OK - you made this hard with the titles of NP and CP on the poll.

$3500 for that rad digital dash sounds a tad steep!

That car sounds amazing!

Trying to think of a scenario that falls within the parameters - i.e. no toolkit in the car. I often carry a small kit, with some small bits inside as well that may be helpful - for instance, I like to pack a foot long lengths of fuel-rated hose in 3/8, 5/16, and 1/4 ID, along with vacuum fittings and clamps on

I still really want to own an 88 Fiero for a bit. I know there’s better cars, but they’re still a bucket list car for me.

I remember all this car stuff but have trouble remembering people’s names!

Oddly it did come close to the stock Impala SS, but the SS had a 350 cu in LT1 that made more low end torque. The 32v 281 cu inch in the Marauder made great higher end power but lacked the n/a displacement for low end grunt even with 3.55 gears.

Looks to be an early build car too, since no traction control (so it’s a “300A” car), the later build 2003 cars were “300B” builds and had T/C, but lacked the center mounted clock (most likely behind the white tape on the faux carbon fiber strip, didn’t have pockets in front of the seats, and the center console sides

Regarding the additives - anyone take a look at the additives section of your local parts store and see the new ones from Prestone? They have a line of additives that’ll fix your cracked engine block, head gasket, or seal your radiator, and they come with actual pellets in them: https://prestone.com/products?detail=AS

1.) I wonder if this was the first application of the external keypad for the doorlocks/trunk? Now I’m curious...didn’t realize it originated back that far.

I’m sure this has been covered as I’m late to the comments, but I must say putting turbo’s on that motor, that isn’t exactly known for robustness, sounds a bit wary. For that price, the ad should note the power output - if anything to prove that the car was properly tuned after the turbo install.
