Refueling, meh. The tire competition era was far more interesting, although I suspect it’d be nigh on impossible to tempt anyone else back into the mix.

Bone stock, no mods needed - if you run a lower pressure on the rears it turns in a little better.

You clearly have never driven one. It's a solid choice for track and autocross - so much so that SCCA just reclassed the car for Solo next year to put it in with Evos and 911s.

From one cartoon villain to another...

Well, of course it's got Robonaut in it. Because Marvin.

Yet again: Bernie Ecclestone, cartoon villain. You guys should just photoshop him as the "meddling kids" guy from a Scooby Doo episode and be done with it.

I posted this to the "dumbest sponsorships ever" thread a while back - because yes, let's put the flawless diamond on the front of the car most likely to crash. I didn't know the part about them not being able to look for it for 2 hours - no wonder it was never found.

They stuck the diamond in Hamilton's helmet in one of the subsequent years and no, it didn't get lost.

Yeah, I avoid that bit as much as possible.

This is nowhere near the toll road or Dulles, but yeah, 66 during rush hour is eeeevil.

Just sending up a trial balloon - I mostly post on Oppo but do toss in the odd FP comment from time to time.

This is a bit of a stretch, but - the Skoda Yeti.

True, but in theory I should be improving a little by comparison to my own times, and I'm not. :/ I've got a HPDE day coming up, so I'll get to see how that goes too.

Yeah. I'm autocrossing right now because it was by far the easiest thing to get into - no need to do a bunch of stuff to the car, low entry cost, close to home - but I'm pretty bad at it. I'll definitely carry on going some after this year because the people are awesome, but I'm going to look into time trialing or

Way, way higher than 1.

Just for the sake of argument, here's what should theoretically be a lap in ideal conditions at Charlotte - qualifying for the Showdown, in daylight, courtesy of the Dogecar. Watch the telemetry (while it's visible - this is the only vid of CMS I could find w/telemetry) — at no point does the speed drop below 174 even

Sadly, it'll just give them more contagious things to pass on to the rest of us.

I have mixed feelings about this. If it gets more women interested in/knowledgeable about their cars, fantastic (and I agree with whoever said the education angle should have been emphasized in this piece.) On the other hand, I take pride in knowing my stuff about cars - that's why I primarily hang out on

Hailstorms suck - I got caught in one a couple of weeks ago and had no choice but to stop because it was raining so hard I couldn't see the road anymore, and was afraid I was going to rear end some idiot who'd stopped in the middle of the road. I picked the spot with the widest paved shoulder I could find, though -
