That's just the thing though. Plastidip is so easy to apply and so little effort of prep that anyone who even has a whim to make something stupid neon colored will do so. If you actually had to scuff... and sand... and fill... and tape... and prime... and paint... and clear just to lay down a little neon orange, and…

In a pretty sad state. But a lot of their other inventions (or innovations by standardizing) are still in use by every major manufacturer: seat belts (Made it standard for every model first), daytime running lights, distributorless ignition, heated seats, etc...
