Your comment is ridiculous, lol. The US is in no danger by the amount of Treasury instruments owned by China. There are any number of investors, sovereign money fund etc that would snap up any US debt up for sale and it would be a far more deleterious event for China to do so.

You might want to read up on how fast Chinese government is burning through its foreign currency reserve in attempt to keep their economy afloat.

Thanks for making these claims! I now have something to think about. I had hadn’t thought of what happens to China if they call in our debt. Obviously if this move screws them over too badly then they have to keep it in their back pocket. Would China really just wind up swimming in worthless US paper?
