So it wouldn’t give a Ural 2WD even more traction than 2WD already does? Pity.
Looking forward to a fan reworking and dubbing as necessary, for a good 120 min compilation of the two.
I really think this will be one of the results. And it will take forever. But, I can see people getting 30-60k miles or more on their TDIs, then getting a voucher for an equivalent new VW (maybe pro-rated?).
So. Many. Ads.

I induced a 5 minute laughing fit in a friend once, when I suggested an “extreme performance” Probe model be called the Intruder.
I see it as another example of the value Americans place on convenience. There are people who would rather drive a car that get 25 mpg, with a 20 gallon tank, than a car that gets 30 with a 15 gallon tank. The difference in cost is worth it (in their eyes) to avoid the “hassle” of filling up their tank. I even see…
Seemed like 90% of the 70’s V8s had awesome sound if you just flipped over the air cleaner lid. Lots of guys swore they got more power, but it changed the sound out front from a quiet “whoosh” to a throaty “WHOOMP”.
They should stick with one niche per brand.
I loved the Ranchero, as opposed to the ElCamino. The Ranchero, with it’s LTD-styled front end, truly gave all of you the duality the platform was promising; white collar up front, blue collar in the back.
And a pot boiling over is like laughing so hard you mess your pants?
Dealer: I’ve got this lovely 85 Mustang, 5 liter, air conditioning...
That can’t be real. Anyone walking up to that white car would go to the driver’s side, help him out of the car, and punch him in the face repeatedly.
No, it’ll be better this time...
Here, I zoomed in for you...
Yeah, my wife feels more comfortable with “real” 4wd, as opposed to AWD. She also felt very comfortable in her truck, so that’s what she got. 13 mpg - fortunately she doesn’t commute far.
I’d love to move up to this - right now I have medium size items in dollar store plastic “shoeboxes”, on standard $20-$30 metal shelving units. I can stack them3 or 4 high, and pull out the one I need. And even that’s a step up from baby wipe container in shoe cubbies; although they are a perfect fit, and hold small…
Maybe make it electric, or put a 4cyl diesel in a fake “rumbleseat” compartment, and make the front into a “frunk”? Gives you dry cargo space, and if the back seats fold up to the sides, or are removable, like the Element, tons of cargo room.
