When I bought my ‘99 Accent hatch, it was from a combined Hyundai/Chevy/BMW dealer. Admittedly, the BMW department moved to it’s location before too long. But both the customer service and technical service there was still pretty good.

Starred for CoD reference (the literary one, as you know, not the video game).

I thought I was going to do that about 2 years ago, when I took the wrong off ramp with my Honda Element. Thought is was the 45 mph ramp, and it was the 25.

FWIW, a trip to Harbor Freight (or Northern Tool, if you value highway safety) can get you a 5x8 trailer and a tarp. Throw plywood sides on the trailer, you’ve got something that you can haul stuff in, but pull behind your daily driver (YMMV). I felt a little silly loading $$$ of lumber into the trailer I pull with my

I’m very happy with mine, and it’s a little short on the “luxo”. I think Chrysler has the closest thing to the old Caprice or Crown Vic, with better handling, more power, and fair MPG. As long as I realize it’s no Cadillac (or Bentley), it’s a good deal.

“totally awesome, or totally insane.”

Neither website is actually designed to help educated consumers. They are both designed to increase sales; not a big surprise.

That used to be me. I’ve had to replace ignition switches, due to the the weight of the keys, the little wrench, the Leatherman Micra, etc.

That offends me, also, as a tractor trailer driver. By which I mean I have a small trailer I can hook onto my lawn tractor.

I wouldn’t argue with that.

And I thought that cramming a gorgeous 16’ tall person into your Honda, just so they could give you directions and sing songs for you, would be distracting.

Package MD/HF is only available to despotic leaders of small nations. Requires embargo avoidance package NKBK.

The only excuse:

Mine will NEVER have that. If the previous owner hadn’t put window visors on, it wouldn’t have them either, even though I reallly love having truly fresh air in the rain.

I was very happy to find an ‘05 RWD V8 w/ 18k miles for just $13k; $15k w/ 3yr/36k bumper to bumper warranty added on. Admittedly, the 300C doesn’t get quite the same mileage as the Abarth, but it’s a lot more fun than my old Element!

And for just a grand more you can even get the 300C with the 5.7 liter. But the Charger is a nice counterpoint to the GTI; different strokes for different folks!

You could arguably add the Neon to that list. Cheap, affordable, actually not the worst “import-fighter” made.

Am I the only one who didn’t know Cadillac was making a version of the Volt? Not that anyone cares, which is apparently part of the problem.

Kudos for admitting it. Presumably you’re working on ways to minimize, and eventually eliminate it, as I am.
